One Liberty Plaza finally comes to SimCity from the NYCJ and NY BAT Team!
This building already has quite a history. It was constructed to serve as the headquarters for the US Steel Company in 1968 and is 54 stories. It replaced the grand and ornate Singer Building and was noted to be an eye sore, according to many critics due to its modernist style conflicting with the other buildings around it (at that time)
During the 9/11 attacks most of the western windows were blown out and the much of interior was damaged. The upscale Brooks Brother store in the lobby was even used as a temporary morgue in the days immediately following 9/11.
Today, it has become a recognizable building in the skyline of Lower Manhattan and the lobby has undergone an extensive renovation and is still one of the largest office buildings in Manhattan.
