  1. Region View

Now, I've looked for the "RealHighway_Regional_Transport_Map.dat" in my plugins folder, to attempt to delete it, but I couldn't find it, and as far as I know, I don't have any other RTM's than the one I'm trying to work with (HBS American Style). If anyone can guide me to an answer as to why I'm having difficulties installing the RTM, Id be extremely grateful! And for those of you reading this, haappy holidays!
  2. VIII • Welcome to (Okashi)

Very nice. I like the streets in your residential picture. May I ask what Mod you are using?
  3. What is the population of your largest city?

My largest city is Aughotia, and it has roughly 450,000 people with a commercial population of 1 million jobs and 170,000 industrial jobs. It is included in a a metropolitan region with more than 3 million people. Truly my greatest creation
  4. The Map of the New Seattle Region

I'll be honest, that looks nothing like Seattle. But a nice map none the less.
  5. Big City

Anyone can easily do this. I don't think it was worth uploading, especially twice...
  6. Phoenix VS. Seattle

Being an inhabitant of neighboring Tacoma (second largest city in Seattle Metro), I have to go with Seattle as being the better of the two cities. But, to be completely honest, these two cities are as far apart can be. Phoenix is dry and hot, and Seattle is wet and mild. They are complete opposites. Also, Phoenix is twice the size of Seattle. Seattle being 600,000 and Phoenix at about 1.1 million. The fact that they are being compared is an insult to a Puget Sounder.
  7. Baychester International Airport

Nice airport, but the road leading into it seems a bit unrealistic, considering the amount of parking compared to the two lane road that services the airport. You should upgrade to maybe an avenue and some mass transit somewhere in there. It might help the emptiness problem that @10000000000 was talking about. Other than that, I really like the airport. Seems busy haha
  8. Easton: Easton National Forest

Ooo I am very impressed. I love reading City Journals that add nature, and some realism to the whole of the game. Going great so far, keep it up!
  9. Baychester: Info and Intro

With a median household income that high, it's surprising that there is such a high poverty rate. Hope it's just an anomaly! haha can't wait to read the rest of your posts.
  10. First Thanksgiving

Absolutely gorgeous! The detail of this is incredible! Awesome work!
  11. Autumn Thrills

Wow, if I didn't know any better, I would have thought that was an actual picture of a roller coaster, and not done over SC4. Great work. Keep it up!
  12. Update 1: Downtown Genoa and Surrounding Areas

Really cool city you got going on. I love the grid plan you have in the inner suburbs, but if you are seeking to create a massive metropolitan (Similar to Boston or New York), the farther you get from the city core, you want to create realistic suburbs (unless that's not what your going for), and in any case, great City so far!!! I hope to see updates in the near future.
  13. CitiesXL 2012 Announced, Modding Support Among New Features

I'm willing to try CXL 2012, but I'm not going to give up playing SC4. Simcity 4 has the Region tool, where you are able to create interconnected cities. If CXL had that, I would be more inclined to purchase it. But I don't see that happening. SC4 will still rule supreme in my mind.
  14. July 11,2045 Downtown

Wait... How can you have the buildings from Times Square if New York was destroyed and taken over by Zombies?
  15. Update #1: General Information

I'm always enthusiastic when I read a City Journal that is an entire nation. I hope to hear more from this beautifully crafted City Journal.
  16. Update 3: Harrison City V2 Preview

Such a beautiful realistic city you have here. It is taking on the feel of an Asian themed metropolis. I'm not entirely sure if that is what you were purposely going for? But I just thought I'd share. You got two thumbs up from me.
  17. Spartanburgh Remake

I have to agree with everyone on here. This is a beautifully done showcase of Spartanburgh. I'm especially blown away by your custom content and your residential choices. Two thumbs up from me.
  18. Update 1: Intro and Downtown Auburn

A beautifully written City Journal you have here so far. I'm liking the city library you got there (I'm from Seattle). Other then that little mishap with the timing of the opera being built, I have no other things to improve on. It is becoming Vancouver. Was that your intention?
  19. That's a massive region my friend. I, too, am currently working on a large region, but, it's Los Angeles so it has to be huge
  20. Basic Introduction....

I'm wondering if you knew this, but the State of Washington was considered being named Columbia, but they didn't name it that because it would be confused with D.C. lol Oh how they got that wrong
  21. Update 6: Oakville & Rockaway Beach

Excellent work. I'm happy to say that I'm loving your region so far. I'll have to go back to your earlier posts and take a look. I hope to see more updates as your region expands.
  22. Can't find it?... Ask here!

I have constructed three large tiled cities with more then a million people in each. My question is "are there any schools or hospitals with a ridiculous capacity?
  23. Book I - IN THE DREAMTIME...

     I'm loving the suspense!
  24. A Fight on New York's Skyline

My goodness, first the Mosque issue in Lower Manhattan, now I'm reading this? If I was a developer, I would completely move out of the City. New York, though iconic, is a symbol of the past. 15 Penn Plaza is a gleaming skyscraper for the "NEW" New York. Change is inevitable, if it's not today, then tomorrow a skyscraper will be built next to the Empire State Building. This building would provide needed jobs for our depressive economy, and it would add a touch of modern next to ESB. This is the future ladies and gentlemen, if you don't like it, then move to Europe, they got old buildings too.
  25. American Vs European Architecture

While Europe has had hundreds, if not thousands of years to design and implement architectural styles, I am biased towards American Architecture, as well as Australian, which in my opinion is more American then European. Americans have pushed the boundaries of urban design and architectural styles. If we weren't here, there would be no skyscrapers, for we invented them. Mind you, I do enjoy the styles of 19th and 18th century European architecture, but Americans are clearly better at innovation. Sorry Europe, America wins this round
