IATA codes are the codes that represent an airport, for example, YVR = Vancouver, JFK = New York, ATL = Atlanta. Basically, use the 3 letter codes to made up random words, but remember, they need to make sense! Have fun! I'll start... JFK - Jack Frees the Kittens PS: words like "The, and, a, and an" can be used without an additional letter.

Wow Josh! Great work as always! I really like your attention to detail when planning not just terminals, but taxiways and runways as well. The added aesthetic value and attention you put into the small things makes a huge difference. I also see you've been doing a lot of lotting! Great work with that; seamless integration with the rest of your airport and even with the older modular packs! Among other things I like is the design of your terminals and aircraft layouts, many of which are simple and effective but unique at the same time. So many of the things you integrate are things I have simply overlooked in my airports. I can learn many things from your designs, so it looks like a redesign of some of my airport elements is warranted! While I have most of the props you have, I was wondering where I might be able to find the walls/fences you used in a previous update that separates the tarmac from the highway? After a long hiatus from SC4, I'm back; so maybe we could have another airport contest of sorts before the summer is over? Adam

Howdy! If you have been in chat, you know that there will be an airport contest here on Simtropolis. It is between two of the best airport builders on the site, myself and the famous Josh6! WHAT IS THIS CONTEST ABOUT? This contest was originally thought up by me after seeing some of Josh6's amazing work in the Show us Your Airport Thread. I then invited Josh to have a formal competition and he accepted! The main objective of this competition is to see which airport expert is the greatest. WHY IS THIS CONTEST HAPPENING? Well, we both decided that since we were quite good at airports, it would be entertaining for y'all and us to see who could make the better airport. WHO DECIDES THE WINNER? You! At the end of the competition, we will have a poll right here, and you will be able to vote for your favorite airport! WHAT WILL BE POSTED IN THIS THREAD? Well, you can post encouraging comments and/or constructive criticism of our work. We will also be frequently posting status updates on our project. Stay tuned! WHEN IS THE END OF THIS COMPETITION? As of now, neither Josh6 or I have made an end date for this. However, we both estimate it will end in a matter of weeks. Well heres my airport so far, its Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson Int'l Airport. As you can see, just like in RL there are mostly delta planes, however I'm working on getting some AirTran planes as well!

Oh! Didn't realize we were still doing this..... I guess I'll get out my airport stuff again!
