Well the only way I've been able to get around it was to use a park that radically increased demand.. sucks cause I hate to use those but it got the job done at least. Still woulda liked to know the cause though.. Started another small city in the region and it works fine. And yeah, the demand crashing later has happened to me before as well. Fortunately this region is going quite well in regards to that, island aside. For fun, here's a picture of the whole region.. the scary thing is I've been working on this for a couple months now, on and off. I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew!

Hey, I've got a wierd problem with a particular city in my region.. the only real difference with any of my others is that it's an island. I just started it, and despite the fact that in every other region my demand is fine, in this one my residential demand is completely negative, while commercial and industry is completely maxed! I took a screenshot to show what I mean.. It was never meant to be a large city, but I wanted to have at least a *bit* of population. The funny thing is that some commercial and industry grew despite having no people and no connections. (There was a ferry there but I tried removing it to fix the problem, no dice. ) I even tried lowering taxes. Is there anything else I can try? Updated to fix image size. Also, reconnecting the ferry and running neighbouring cities caused people to come there for work, but still no change in res demand. A cookie to whoever guesses where the name of the city comes from.

Re-reading the details I realize you can't actually place that one.. I'll try to grow it again I suppose, might try it as 18x6 zone instead.

Well I did build a zone exactly 18x7, holding ctrl to make it just one large zone.. I tried all density types. Maybe I just don't have enough population yet, but still, I'm curious to know because I haven't found it any one of the menus.. I know there's many other ploppable buildings that I have as well that I'd like to know how to place manually if needed. I must be missing something obvious. Hey, long time lurker but first time poster here. This may be a silly question but try as I might I just can't find the answer. I've downloaded one of simgoober's large 18x7 shopping malls, but no matter what I try it just won't grow on its own. I know it has a ploppable version as well, the question is.. how do I place it? I tried typing the buildingplop cheat but nothing seemed to happen, unless I did it wrong. Please help!
