... good question. I think they may be mistaking the C-17 for it. I know for a fact that the C-17 can land on short runways. When I was in Taji, Iraq, they'd land at the airfield there, and it's a fairly small runway..

I don't think agitating and pushing the buttons of senior members is the wisest of ideas, robloxkiller. I suggest a moderator lock this topic (or move it elsewhere). The trucking towns would fall under the small towns catagory (thread ) and highways have their own catagory (thread ). You should really not argue with senior members. They're senior for a reason, sir.

It's not the stratofortress I'm worried about. It's the blackbird. The SR-71 uses ramjets. That requires a ridiculously high speed to be efficient. It requires a very long runway. 2500-3000+ meters, actually. Source: My grandfather was an SR-71 Mechanic.

The Calistan Protectorate, an Annex of Her Majesty's Illium Empire. And a decorative version The Red field behind the Eagle symbolizes the blood shed of the forefathers of this nation and the strength that the bloodshed has brought to the nation. The black slash symbolizes the fortitude and strength of the Calistan Protectorate, that stands clear and strong against the bloodred background. The Black field, separated from the rest by the white divided line, with the Illium Empire's National Symbol is to show that the the this nation is a Protectorate of Her Majesty's Illium Empire. The white line is divided to symbolize the connections of the Empire and the Protectorate, but remains to show that the protectorate is still a sovereign nation. The white eagle symbolizes the power, resolution and sovereignty of the Calistan Protectorate. (can anyone spot the irony?) The Olive Branch was only just recently added, signifying the peace that stands between The Illium Empire and the Calistan Protectorate, but remains red to symbolize the significant losses incurred in the the war.

Wonderful update, but I have some constructive critisism. I've always loved your cities, but they seem to just abruptly end. This is highly unrealistic. Try adding some outcropping neighborhoods, not fully developed but not empty either. The best example I can give is in this image from my CJ. It also adds to the whole "Sprawl" feeling. Another bit of criticism I'd like to give is I think you're lacking in what you're doing with your green space. A good example would be in this image here (near the Food Lion). It's just open. If it is a park, I would suggest a fence, or walking route, or playground. If it's just open land, maybe using some MMP grass, flowers, trees or anything to make it much less bland. Overall, I truly do enjoy your updates, this is just a bit of input from my end. Keep up the good work!

Hmm. I wonder if I put together an update for both the Empire and the Protectorate and they're up to the same caliber I've had lately, if I could get them both in the top 10. That would be pretty legit. It's good to see Illium hanging in there after a small hiatus, and even better to see the Protectorate grab a top +10 spot after its first week. Thank you, Ben!

I want those MMP's your using... Looks like a hasty checkpoint I once medivac'd two soldiers from while I was overseas. There had been indications of insurgents moving north out of Taji, and the two guys got hit by a VBIED.

Here's the signage you'll find in the Calistan Protectorate. Most of the highway signs still say "Federation Highway" as it's too expensive to go and replace them all with "Protectorate Highway". They serve the same purpose, and the new parliament does not see a reason to change it.

This update will feature the Athosia Nuclear Generating Station and the surrounding area. The Athosia Power Station is located in the rural far southeast corner of the Capitol Province Our first look will be at the town of Ruegenhoek, which is the largest town in the area. Nearly 30% of the town's working population works at the generating station, making it by far the largest employer in the area. Ruegenhoek enjoy sporting the small town charm that comes with being a farm town with a population under 5000. Most of the homes here are single-family homes, although there are two apartment complexes. Ruegenhoek is home to the Athosia Parish High School, which serves the entire parish. And now we'll move on to viewing the Generating Station. It is a massive complex, employing almost 3500 people in the core complex alone. Here we have the Northern Reservoir that serves the complex. Moving on, we find ourselves looking at the cargo receiving station (commonly called the "Railhead" by locals) that serves the station and surrounding commerce & industry. You can also see the passenger station that serves as an employee stop for far away towns/cities. Just across the road from the station sits several eateries and commercial stores. While most of the business comes during shift & lunch/dinner breaks, these eateries are known for being open 24 hours a day. Although it's a bit of a drive, at nighttime you'll find people from Ruegenhoek visiting for a late night snack. You can also see the more-than-adequate parking for the locals who drive. I know, out of 500,000 members, that I can't be the ONLY person who likes to keep in shape. So, let's have at it! Who all here likes to work out? Do you have some sort of specialty? I used to run cross country in high school, but after joining the army, I kind of lost my runner's mentality. I'm getting back into it. Here was today's route for me. A slightly longer-than-average run (for me). I slacked the past two days and haven't done anything, so I decided to go an extra 1.5 miles.
