How do YOU name your cities?
Gabo72 replied to `Shotgun Nosejob`'s topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Since I'm from a Spanish-speaking country (Venezuela), most of the names of my cities are of course in Spanish. My favorite ones are those of saints such as in California (San Pablo, Santa Catalina, San Nicol -

It's been really surprising to read you commenting on this topic which, as I can see, is being seen around the world with some attention. I must say, though, there have always been terrible missunderstandings about Chavez's government around the world being that for sure as a consequence of the huge amount of "propaganda" displayed all over the planet by the very useful oil dollars. Chavez's government, contrary to what this "propaganda" might say, hasn't improved not even a little, the living conditions of my fellow citizens. During his government everything has gone down including the four largest company in the world, PDVSA (the national oil company) as long as thousands of other enterprises and businesses in the country. Crime has dramatically increased and, up to the moment, in his long (and eternal) period of government ,100,000 (one hundred thousand) people have been assasinated in hands of criminals; we're lacking of simple stuff like milk, cooking oil, sugar, coffee and it's been announced taht we're going to start having programmed blackouts due to the lack of investement in the (as most of the big companies) nationalized electric companies in the country. To summarize, Chavez used to be a very popular guy, especially among the poorest people in the shanty towns surrounding our big cities but, since October 2007 when the King of Spain shut him up in a Presidential meeting, his "aura" has started to decline . This situation has, been agravated with the loss of a referendum which might have changed our constitution towards a Comunist regime in December and the neverending confrontational style that is so characteristic from him. So, guees what: What's better to raise the "national spirit" than a good war?.... The problem is that there is no "casus belli". We'd be fighting a war defending the terrorists from the FARC and 95% of the population is obviously against such an alternative. In fact, you'd be amazed of finding out that in the big cities in my country nobody really paid attention to that 'cause us, unlike the rest of the world are already used to the stupidity of our "leader", who, if keeps on behaving that way, will soon be kicked out of the Presidency. Sorry for my English, (shame on me) but it's not my native language.
