I do think the price tag is a bit hefty but otherwise the game delivers what they promised in the update. I don't have any of the frame rate drops that others talk about, I'm thinking the act of streaming and recording is causing that issue because the game is indeed a resource hog. I enjoy the game personally. And like all games, that all that matters for the individual that purchased it. If they like it, they should be allowed to like it. I had a coupon for the game on steam plus the discount they gave for being a previous owner and it only cost me about $15 bucks. Worth noting is it is $20 on steam right now.

I'll buy it, just because I tend to collect city sims. But I'm not convinced it'll offer much more than previously. That said, if all the do is update the engine for multicore support, 64bit, and just fix the memory leaks a small bugs they've had in previous releases, they should have a solid product.

Offline-Only Mod: "UniDirectional Networks (UDoN)"
Bazkur commented on xoxide's file in SC13 Game Mods
FYI - I've found that if this file is not the last to load then I get the launcher crash that's been reported. I've changed the file name to start with every letter of the alphabet and if it is anything that comes before "S" then it fails. I suspect it has to load after "SimCity-Scripts_287520926" or "SimCityDLCEP1-Scripts_287520926"? -

Make sure you don't have any mods that talk to or use the Global market. Those try to contact the server and cause it to fail to load

"Banished" a new city-building strategy game released today
Bazkur commented on Dirktator's article in News
I think that if this game really takes off, we should add it as a full section. its been top sold in steam since release now i think its been quiet successful. But i dont really understand about what kinda moding we are talking? I dont think its gonna be possible to add new buildings and such... Based on the few tweets and blogs I've seen the developer (the one dude) said it will be fully moddable and eluded to the fact of new buildings and simulation modding. -

Curious if there will be a mod section on Simtropolis once modding is released? Anybody know? -

Just curious, not trying to be rude or anything but who has caps these days? I didn't know companies did that on high-speed internet any longer (cell phone data plans, sure, but home internet?)

$150 isn't a lot of money for entertainment. I don't think of it as purchasing a product I think of it as I would going to the movies. Figure $13 for a movie ticket (last time I was there). That means a two hour movie is costing me $6.50 per hour. Having spent 390ish hours on SC2013 that $150 works out to .39 cents an hour. Well worth my money.

I pre-ordered because I truly like this game. It's no SC4 (or even SC5) but it is NOT suppose to be. Play it or don't, no need to bully others that actually enjoy the game. I know for 100% fact I'm not alone in loving the game. Like anything else, there is no pleasing everyone.

You guys should come back and try it again sometime later. I too still love to play SC4 and have since day one. It is true that many of these things should have been available before release but Simcity 2013 is really turning out to be a great game. Many of the broken simulation items that I see complained about are being enhanced, this next Traffic update should do wonders. I for one am highly enjoying this new game, I just have to not look at it like SC5. Think of it as a new city builder made by a different company and it changes your perspective a bit.
