Cities: Skylines - Community Modding Requests
Drengs replied to Cyclone Boom's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
Pleeease, someone make a working, stable, zonable pedestrian path! I know that Traffic++ has it, but it also has other features that I'm not interested and that conflict with other mods (Traffic Manager, for example). I can't make my huge parks and residential areas without it! Thanks in advance! -
help! Not Enough Raw Materials with good Traffic.

I do have a little timber industry, but not too big. But that shouldn't be the problem, since anything not produced in the city should be imported, right? I have many cargo stations and harbor close to my industries, so that shouldn't be the problem either. It's getting so frustrating that I'm thinking in abandonning this city and start a new one. I'm only using 11 tiles, and all my generic inds are inside the original 9 tiles, btw... I really don't know what else to do... -

@Mr_Maison, well, I have plenty of offices, and since my industry keep getting abandoned, I'm slowly replacing then with more offices, otherwise I won't have stable workplaces and my city can't grow. Seems to be the only solution so far... @Mystrelia, I have the infinite resources mod, so I know I still have plenty of oil/ore being pumped out (I hated how fast they deepleted). The weird thing is that i'm exporting tons of raw oil and ore, but my generic industries says I don't have enough raw materials! I'm almost convinced myself it's a bug... -

I already had a cargo train with outside connection near my industry, but I added one more in another industrial district and the problem persists. I also have a few cargo harbors close by, for i thought it could be a lack of capacity to import everything, but no change... I didn't know the 25 tiles could mess this up. I'll try later without it. Good to hear at least I'm not the only one having this issue... -

Hello there! I'm having a problem in my city of 120k people. All my generic industrial places are suffering from a lack of raw materials. I know that most of the time this is due to heavy traffc not allowing trucks to arrive at the industries in time. However, my city has no bottleneck whatsoever. It does have a few red intersections, but no actual stand-still. Also, I segregated my rail lines, both for cargo/passenger, and International/Local. I have a transfer station where the trucks leave the international tracks and enter the local cargo distribution. With this, my city has no rail traffic either. I've done all this and my industries are still getting abandoned. Oh, and I also have local Oil, Ore and a little Forestry industries, which should provide at least some of the raw resources needed. I even removed the heavy traffic ban from some of my districts to see if that improves something, with no results... Is that a bug or something? Can anybody help me? -
Matar (Natural Growth) - Update 2: Expansion and Traffic Engineering
Drengs replied to TabascoJack's topic in Cities: Skylines City Journals
Cool updates! I like the naturalistic decision manking. Btw, I agree with you that farming is still not what it should be, but I can wait. Right now, I prefer the logging one. Perfect for a natural start. Looking forward for the next update! -
@BlitzPackage I'm sorry, but the reseaches on cannabis ARE conclusive on one thing at least: IT IS less dangerous than alcohol, tabacoo, or most of the legal prescription medicines, both to yourself and to other people around you. Also, it is proved that humanity have ben using cannabis for around 10.000 years (yes, basically since we discovered agriculture), and there is not a single case of death for ingestion of marijuana! Indeed, the biggest health problem of it is because of the smoke, which you can avoid by cooking or even vaporizing. Besides, cannabis doesn't have only one use, as TPB argued. You can make oil, paper, clothing, food, fuel, and many other uses of this indeed miraculous plant. I'm sorry, but if you were to really rely on cientific evidence, than you should support marijuana legalization. It shouldn't be a question of opinion. It is utter stupidity not to use it at least for those purposes. By the way, if you want to know the real reasons why it was deemed illegal, it was because of racism (blacks and hispanics were the main users in the US) and monopoly/greed (marijuana was a competitor for the oil, plastic, nylon, paper and pharmaceutical industries). Nowadays it remains banned just because of plain ignorance. Anyway, if you're concerned on how to talk to your children about anything, just be honest. Kids are not that stupid. If you lie, they will eventually find out, and it will be much worse.

Matar (Natural Growth) - Update 2: Expansion and Traffic Engineering
Drengs replied to TabascoJack's topic in Cities: Skylines City Journals
Oh, this is great! I was actually thinking of doing the exact same thing, specially because that same CJ changed forever the way I played SimCity 4! From my little experience with C:S, I think natural growth works very well, maybe even better than SC4! Your city looks great, very natural. And it had a very fast start! Where did all that industry come from? Should't they start with farming or forestry? That's how i started in my NG city anyway, but that's just me... I suppose nowadays new cities can and do start straight away with industry. I'll keep an eye on your CJ! Sheers! -
Those little road bits..
Drengs replied to Rufus Honker IV's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Indeed! You could delete the street and curve the road to get to the end of the avenue smoothly though. -

@Moonraker I think that depends on the terrain level of the area. If it is too irregular, it tends to cover the runways, so you have to search for the perfect spot. Before plopping it where it is now, i tried in a couple of other spots and they had the same terrain problem. Just a little bit of patience, hehehe. Thanks for the replies, guys! -

Drengs replied to ProcsKalone's topic in SimCity (2013) Modding - Open Discussion
Does anyone know how to fix the module count problem when using BOC with Orion and Akar? Weirdly, I'm actually being able of ploppng only half the normal amount of modules, which sucks! Thanks! -

new mod ideas (hopfully can be done)
Drengs replied to bigdthebeast09's topic in SimCity (2013) Modding - Open Discussion
From what i've seen in these foruns, the knowledge of how to create and incorporate buldings into the game is restricted to a handful of people. We have to be a little patient, guys! -

Thanks you Chappers and Capton, The region is Titan's Gorge, in the Settler's Rest group of cities. Highly recommended for Orion play.
