Can you add a daytime photo and a bigger picture?? It looks good, but many users including me need better photo.

I agree with the dark photo comments, put up a day one and i will think about it. Excellent first BAT, mine was useless and youve trounced it.

good try mate, we all have to start from somewhere, keep on keeping on!!!

I recommend opening a BAT thread in the forums. Then you could post pictures of your buildings before you upload them. We can then help you by giving you advice to improve them. At least you have the desire to use the BAT and be creative; this is always good to see. As you gain advice and tips from other users, I am sure you have the potential to improve.

The thing I find most amazing about your work is that your pieces are so wonderful for being less than 1meg and "no dependencies". Talking about making the most out of a little. I believe you should be given more credit for that achievement. Thanks!

This is really nice, there are few diagonals I enjoy but this one is excellent!

Nice for a first BAT, keep practicing b/c it looks promising

    Now, that's good! 5/5 :D

Even usng Internet Explorers "zoom" feature at 400% doesn't allow me to really tell what these are. But the building that is there with a pipe coming out it's roof definitely needs some serious work, from the best that I can tell from the image it's a box with a pipe coming out the roof. A better image would be in order if it's more than that so that we can see what it really is.

don't be so sure of that.. that is a diagonal, which means that lotting opportunities are rather limited, what you could do those is make a few different versions of gardens using models though. That might just work.

No saltwater or what this thing rules!

What's the big idea to post two night view pics? particularly that there is no nightlighting what-so-ever? The tong-in-a-cheek factor is good... apart from that... there is nothing really to speak of...

How do you generate these kind of maps?

What can I say about this map that already hasn't been said in one form or another? Perfection is all I can come up with as this map leaves me speechless. Fantastic job on this!
  27. 1 point
You're right. It is perfect. At least according to my techniques. 1:1 using 10m USGS DEM data, layed out for you to enjoy in all of it's 16bit glory (other maps are only 8bit JPEG).

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS MAP! Every NYC that I've tried so far is either too big or too hard to build on. This is perfect.
  29. 1 point
We use the mapper because it is the only program that will support 16bits of greyscale depth. If you want a junky-style map, then use the standard 8bit JPEG versions!

I tried twice to download it but only got 177 KB files both times, which wouldn't unzip. This try, my 3rd, seems to be working :) Great job. Looks very real. Kinda odd how you gotta use the Mapper tho. 8/10

AZK1013 - That line is a 'beam of light represents the WTC site on Manhattan island. It doesn't show in game, and is somewhat of a memorial...' quoted from beskhu3epnm.

This is an AMAZING map, but honestly, there must be about 200 large city squares within the map. Lol, it will take us 5-10 years to fill it at all in. Still, it's really an amazing job. Who loves NYC enough here to take it all the way??
  33. 1 point
Incredible job on this map beskhu3epnm. You have definately established yourself as a premiere mapper.

I decided to try it out before rating it (having been disappointed before by maps that looked good in the screenshot), and I must say: this is fantastic.

Looks great, but there is one inaccuracy. You've got north pointing the wrong way. Unlike commonly thought, the grid of manhattan is not algined with the compas. It's actually tilted to the east by about 30 degrees.

    Damn, I needed this 2years ago :/

Looks Great, but, what is that "BEAM OF LIGHT" is it a prop. what is it?

A very accurate map of New York. If only you released this map when I started recreating New York, I'm tempted to start over again using this map. Excellent work!

The depressions in the terrain actually showed up, but the elevations weren't low enough to accomodate the lakes. You will have to plop them using one of the ploppable packs from PEG.

Wikipedia has many contradicting statements regarding the population of the New York Metro. One article says 18 million, another says 22 million, and the highest I've seen was 24 million. Anyway, THIS MAP ROCKS!

For those curious it means "The church of St. Mary in the hollow of white hazel trees near the rapid whirlpool by St. Tysilio's of the red cave". Welsh names are very functionaly descriptive like that...

Didn't have an affect. The building didn't appear right. The only thing visible was the trees and the steam.

just what i need for my downtown! perfect!

The plop cost is high because the capacity is so high. I thought the same thing at first, but after comparing it to the default clinic and hospital I thought it was fairly balanced. You won't ever have more than one of these in a city, anyways. I can lower the cost if enough people want me to.
  46. 1 point
Looks good. Since we don't have saltwater in SC4, it will only be used as a water pump. But I love to have buildings from past versions of the game. Good job!
  47. 1 point
It takes up 5 times the space of the single tennis court, so how do the stats and costs compare?
  48. 1 point
Anyone who makes a quality rendition of the ol' SC3k props gets two thumbs up.

I notice that the people who have posted any negative comments haven't uploaded any buildings as of yet. I suppose they are waiting until theirs are perfect. I agree with all of the comments (except a couple) I am still learning how to use the BAT so bear with me.
