You can use the Terrain Generator program to reduce the size of the map if you think it's too big. I did it for the New York City map

This is an AMAZING map, but honestly, there must be about 200 large city squares within the map. Lol, it will take us 5-10 years to fill it at all in. Still, it's really an amazing job. Who loves NYC enough here to take it all the way??
  4. Haha I downloaded landscape designer and now it all works!! This is so freakin sweet, you guys kick butt.
  5. Raxter what is landscape designer?
  6. Hey cityhawk, I have seen the answer to your message answered, so if you tell me how you managed to get past the error message and get it to render I'd appreciate it! I cannot get past that part and it is really frustrating. The answer to your new problem is simple, you cannot have any other programs open while the game is rendering the map! That is important, you cannot even have the screen saver on. Turn off the screen saver and keep it up while it is rendering, the rendering process is very finicky and if you even close the window it will only render the parts you saw it render, then it will stop, hence why some areas worked and others are still flat. So turn off your screensaver and when you render, leave it alone. Now please help me out and tell me please how you got the rendering box to come up at all? I did everything but it still says error size must be 1025 X 1025 and when I change the bitmap to that size nothing happens.

Hey mallow great map I love it I have tried 3 times and I can't get a NYC that looks half this good!! Unfortunately I have the same problem as dady except mine says it must be 1025 X 1025 and when I change the bitmap to these dimensions, it no longer gives me the error message but absolutely nothing happens. Why does the region renderer suck so much? Is there a way to make it not so uptight and except any size? Would be nice wouldn' it? Please get back to me whenever, thanks
  8. Also when I change my config.bmp to 1025 X 1025, I no longer get the error message, instead absolutely nothing happens.
  9. I have a few questions about this. 1). How do we know if we did it right? Will a dialogue box come up that says "rendering" and show us the progression? 2). No matter how I adjust settings with my config.bmp it always gives me an error and says it must be 1025 X 1025. 3). After doing ctrl-alt-shift-r, I have a choice of what to render; so specifically which file should be selected to render? The jpeg, the bitmap, or the gif?
  10. New York City

Ok now I have all the right files in place but it says it must be 1025 X1025 and yours is much bigger then that, how can I adjust my settings to accept your large map?
  11. New York City

Ok I have made progress but it says there is an error...your bitmap file is 1 by 1 instead of 1025 by 1025?
