Hello! I used to play SC4 years and years ago, in fact I used to have a Simtropolis account probably about 15+ years ago but I don't have access to my old e-mail so here we are. Been wanting to get back into the game, very excited to see how much has happened since then! In fact it's been 5 years since I last played the steam version and I remember when I was younger and bought the deluxe edition when it was new. Anyway, happy to be back!

Hello! I've been downloading files from the exchange for the longest time now, so I've decided to make an account and maybe upload a few pictures of what I've been working on? I've been playing SC4 for a long time, almost always on Macs –so there's been a lot of frustration and troubleshooting along the years. But hey, now the App Store version works more or less fine? Except for the resolution, that is.

Hi @1ph4yt3 & @Girafarig and welcome back to Simtropolis and SC4. *:8)

The great thing is the game remains a platform which can always be returned to whenever, and continues to be developed with all the custom content available and still produced. Sometimes real life intervenes as I know all too well, but it's still possible to venture back into this creative world.

For the Mac game, I'm aware there's a new 64-bit version now, but personally I'm not an expert on it. A couple of topics are here and here which might be useful perhaps. Feel free to post in there if having trouble, and there are some Mac players who are still active around the site.

Hi all

I'm Adam from Sweden, used to work for the city and then the region with regional development and inward investment. Now retired with too much time on my hands, I'm looking at how to have a regional view on SimCity - the interdependance of the various cities. I's fascinating and a great community.

Hi folks,

I've had an account here for over 11 years but for some reason have never posted. I've been playing SimCity related games for much of the last 20 years and at one point remember playing SimCity on my Uncle's old Macintosh!

I definitely go through stages of playing Sim games, as I picked up The Sims 2 earlier for the first time in a while. Cities: Skylines became my preferred Sim-style City builder but I still find my way back to SimCity 4 from time to time, even if my oldest cities are long since lost to hard-drive failures :(

But anyway, hi! Sorry it took me 11 years?

Welcome 'back,' @Kuja

It's great that SimCity keeps bringing folks back to stop in. It's a tribute to the game and the community.

It's always nice to go back over old stomping grounds so to speak, not so fun when I somehow forget that the game doesn't have autosave and it crashes while I'm designing a new residential area and have potentially lost half an hours work. Oh well, back at it! *:D

Welcome to Simtropolis. The community is active and there are always new things to do. Simtropolis along with SC4DEVOTION has a discord server where people can chat and share the creations they create in-game. We also have specific language community clubs where you can chat with your fellow countrymen.

Hello everyone!

Oldschool player into Micropolis (SimCity Classic), SimCity for SNES and SimCity 2000 here. I am glad to see such a thriving community covering all of those (now old but still as awesome as ever) games. As a number crunching maniac, I must say I have spent a great deal of time reading and bookmarking the extensive guides here; there is always something new and interesting to learn about the simulation mechanics even over three decades later.

I will make sure to contribute whenever possible to the community. Old games are often put aside but never forgotten!

Hey! I've been playing a lot of the SimCity games recently, and I stumbled across this forum. It's cool! I mainly play SimCity 3000 and 4, but I do sometimes play SimCity 2000. Outside of gaming I like to draw, do 3D modeling, and make graphic designs. I'm sure I'll find some cool things here! *:D

Hi everyone

I'm from Ontario, Canada and just found out about this forum and had to sign up. I've been playing SimCity 2013 since it's release but I can honestly agree any SimCity before 2013 is better.

Hello!

Recently I have been getting back into SimCity 4, so the site has provided many a file download for the mods I've been playing around with. Years ago, I played SimCity 4 on a Windows XP laptop using the discs in the SimCity box, and only recently have I discovered how moddable and complex the game actually is! Since I think I'll be sticking around for a while, I figured I might as well get involved.

Just an introduction. I have played SimCity games since 2001 or so. It was rugged then.  A friend just showed me this site, and I look forward to learning how to improve the game I've used all this time ( SC4/deluxe)...Brian
