Hi @OrangeCrush2019 and welcome to Simtropolis. *:8)

To be interested in SC4 or CSL and you've certainly joined a community which has both of those as focal interests. For the City Journals (CJs) and you're most welcome to post in either the dedicated section (which had a recent overhaul), and/or the forums too. It'd be cool to see what pics you have to share from your cities.

We hope you enjoy the site here in however you wish to contribute.

Hello from Russia!

Sorry, my english is not very good.

I am very happy to read this forum.

Builders are one of the favorite types of games since childhood.
Now I am a big and old uncle - but sometimes there is time to play a little!

Welcome to ST @VladislavW , hope you enjoy your stay.  I use google translate quite a bit on other boards that I'm on so if you can't say it in English say it in Russian, we'll figure it out. *:golly:

Greetings! I think I must have played one of the earliest versions of SimCity on my PC. I've been an application developer most of my career and now that I'm an old I finally have the time to get back into SC4. I recently installed the NAM mod which totally blew me away. I'm going to be spending a lot of time on the documentation to figure that one out! Looking forward to exploring the site and meeting everyone!

Hi @Holocene and welcome to Simtropolis! *:)

Returning to SC4 and you've certainly come to the ideal community. The NAM is a mod which can really transform the game in many ways. While it does have a steep learning curve for mastering all the components, there's lots of helpful people here on the forums willing to assist. You may find posting in NAM & Transit Networks useful to ask about anything with the mod. An idea I recommend is to test and experiment with components in a new empty sandbox region to understand how they work.

In terms of getting back into the game, you may find these resources useful for starters:

We hope you enjoy it here, and feel free to post in new and/or existing topics if unsure of anything.

Hi, new to these forums, I have steam installed versions of Cities Skylines and SimCity 4.

I am going to have loads of questions about using mods and assets, but will leave those things for the right place.

For now I'll just settle for a Hello. *

Hi @Universe1969 and welcome to Simtropolis! *:8)

For both those games and this sure is a community where they're a prominent focus. Especially here for SC4 where there are almost 20k files available on the STEX, and also thousands over on the LEX as well. Absolutely, feel to ask questions whenever there's anything you'd like help with. There's many helpful folk around willing to assist.

Also if unsure where a specific new thread should be posted, the General Discussion forums are a good place to go as a catch-all location. As staff we'll do any moving around if need be, so no worries about being 100% sure whether something should be here, there, or wherever. The mindset of moderation is to guide, not be a police force. *;)

We hope you enjoy everything here at ST.

Hi everyone! I'm trying to get into SimCity/management games even though I feel like I am very bad at them, and decided to try coming here for guides or advice (and cool mods). Nice to meet you all!

Hi @natsumedude and welcome to Simtropolis! *:8)

You've certainly come to a great place for anything city building related.

This very much is a learning community too, and it's perfectly fine if feeling overwhelmed right now. We've all been in that position at some point in time as well. One thing we encourage is how there's no such thing as a pointless question to ask about whichever game. Whenever you'd like, the door is open to post in any number of new and existing topics to your heart's content. There's certainly plenty of buildings, mods, and maps to explore too.

Most of all it's about having fun, and I'm sure along the way you'll enjoy your stay here at ST.

Hi everyone!

Hiya, individual one! Welcome to Simtropolis. *:)

Have you decided which city building game you will start with? If it's SimCity 4 be sure to not buy it from Origin. (I can post more details for why and where you should get it if that's your game of choice.)

Hello there, my name is Zephlyn and I am 14 years old. I used to play SimCity 4 when I was 11-12 and only recently started getting back into it. It's the only city building game I can play since the computer I use is very bad. I usually play games of other genres as well.

I wanted to come to Simtropolis to see if I can find other people to talk with about city building games.
