I'm probably more likely to a third style of Target that is not a supercenter. Seems to me that Target is trying to phase out supercenter similar to what Walmart did. Heblem's version of a super Target is pretty perfect to me even if it is a bit outdated. So I kind of doubt I'll do a super Target.

Its actually very confusing. As yes some SuperTarget have been remodeled into just a Target. But the one in Daytona has been remodeled into a newer looking SuperTarget. Thanks for all you do!

Huh, I didn't know that about Daytona.

Nice little strip mall.  I recommend a new shopping center mod where we could choose our own tenants with one store/insurance office/restaurant/salon

Thanks. Unfortunately, I'm not the biggest fan of that idea since it would create a situation where a it would be a pain for me to create everyone's individual suggestions. It wouldn't really be fair for me to do one request but not another. With how many people there are here, it just isn't realistic.

I actually did do something along the lines of what you are asking through the Strip Mall Modular files though.

Hopefully, you'll start a trend. Most of your dependencies I already have, so it's not really a problem, but if you were to re-release all of your stuff in a stripped-down format, I'd download every one of them again.

i agree it's nice to have a smaller dependency list but I have also enjoyed having more visually complex and therefore more interesting lots too

Nice thanks RR. Seems like more and more Family Dollar Dollar Tree are poping up. Do you plan on doing one?

    Thanks for all you do.

@SIM-ple Jack Considering I tend to use the same dependencies, I don't feel like it is too big of a deal with the ones I do use.

@sejr99999 I felt like less is more in this particular instance.

@Evanjs Chances are I'll be getting around to it with some time.

After some experimentation, version 2.0 of the Lakeview Shopping Center will include a new strip mall to go on the lot.

    • MOE’S Southwest Grill (with updated branding)
    • First Watch
    • Saladworks
    • Hair Cuttery
    • Joint Chiropractics

Since some of you would like more of say into what brands go into strip malls I make, I thought I'd give the heads up. Thoughts on these choices?

I don’t know if this is something you’re looking for or not but what about a Burkes Outlet with a Home Centric “Burkes Home good store”

Homecentric would be to big for a strip mall. Still kind of Ironic you mention that brand though because that is just one of the many brands I discovered just this past week.

I'm tempted to request tenants such as MOD Pizza, Mattress Firm, or even Primo Hoagies to be apart of this mini Strip-mall.

I did already do a MOD Pizza (Strip Mall #4) and @pclark06 even did one too as part of a strip mall. I did a Mattress Firm standalone store as part of Strip Mall #2.

I have looked into Primohoagies though, and I feel like that is one of those regional brands that makes things complicated at times. I might do it, but I'm not promising to do so.

Never heard of it until now.  .

Walking you through the process I take when researching, I will do a google maps search for a brand to get an idea of how small or big it is. I see in this case, it has its biggest presence in the midwest. (Cincinnati/Dayton in particular) Looks like it has a decent number of stores in upstate South Carolina, a few locations in Texas and then one random location in California for some reason. This suggests to me that is one of those brands that is just not really ideal for me to do since it is pretty localized. If the chain continues to grow, then it may need another look.

For the record, there's probably a lot of brands I don't know about. I live in a very rural part of northern Pennsylvania and the more major cities near me (Erie, PA; Buffalo and Rochester, NY) tend to be ignored by a lot of companies or among some of the last cities to get things. Erie, being in Pennsylvania, is usually a little better about getting certain brands, but not always. Even though Erie had a Chik-Fil-A for the longest time, that company only got to the Buffalo market in 2018.

This being said I do have 6 page document of various brands to help me in my endeavors.

Yeah, Rapid Fired is small but I remember it starting in Ohio to compete with Blaze/Mod. It’s not optimal for SC4 at the moment though.

I've been somewhat distracted lately researching and sketching a few ideas for potential shopping centers.... (Yeah, you can thank recent local retail announcements for inspiring me.)

Anyhow, here's a look at two of my ideas that were inspired by real life designs. While I'm not committing myself to making them, I do have tenants figured out for both if I do decide to pursue them. The diagonal one may be a little annoying to make as it would need a lot of experimentation to get right and would require quite the number of lots just for filler purposes. We shall see what I do in time.

I have a few more examples of shopping center designs/layouts in mind, but I haven't sketched them out or figured out the tenant roster for them. Simply because it would already be quite the task just to make these two. I don't want to overwhelm myself. lol

I’m sure it will look great.
