I love these. They look incredible. But I have a question. Is there any way to use these on an elevated highway? Many of my highways are elevated, so things like these signs and highway billboards pose a bit of a problem.

I'm afraid that's more of a question for the Prop Anarchy folks than it is for me. However, I may release some signs that "float" above the ground at a fixed height, so they can be placed in such a case.

Yes Prop Anarchy is a great place to toggle those prop placement restrictions, so props could be raised/lowered/rotated/maybe even scaled, regardless of surroundings.  That would be epic!  Perhaps some of the 'Fine Road Tool' code/setup could be used, so its easy to line up to things in game, and have the handy widget to set height step and keybindings too.  lol im getting way carried away with this now, ill go drop a suggestion in the propanarchy mod on steam, seems doable, but I dunno.

Oh btw I love your signs man, thanks for sharing them :D

Sounds good. I use Prop Anarchy, but as it stands, there's no way to do it, unless there's something I've missed. Having a way to add props like these to elevated roads would be great.

No, I don't believe it's an option yet, unfortunately.

The only thing that snaps to elevated roads is other roads & vehicle paths AFAICT.  It would be great to have a road snapping prop type :D

Well actually there is already lol, the vanilla highway signs & street lights, its already in the game, so perhaps Network Skins could be the home of ability to change out the signs.   I'd still like expanded prop anarchy though, this is another viable route.

Well, props do behave differently in the asset editor: in the editor you can place props on rooftops etc., but afaik. that is impossible to achieve in-game, where props seem to be terrain-conforming (try placing a chimney prop on top of a building in-game...) So different mechanics for prop placement do exist, whether they can be ported to in-game is a different matter...

    Good point. Seems promising.

Know and love your stuff from SC4, and now, after my first steps in the utterly colorful world of Paradox I found your thread here. Damn, this is the drug I need! I am still sitting here and looking to your sidewalks and parking spaces on the two linked pictures (as well as the signs). Addicted, completely addicted...

I couldn't ask for higher praise. Thank you! Speaking of signs...

    Wow, that looks awesome.

It would be incredible to find a way to have these implemented into the game automatically rather than props. To have them replace the vanilla highway signs would be epic.

oooh Bipin those are so sweet!  Very nice addition to the collection!

@Matthias King I think thats eventually doable with network skins mod, seems its focused right on that area, if you read those threads here boformer talks about street props & such, which is what the vanilla signs are. :D

Well, if you could snap the placement of signs to road nodes (which, I think, have an ID), you can attach config data to it. Like a yellow "Exit only" or numbered exit sign, highway number, or a name, which should then somehow be teleported to the road sign.

I hope we see this sooner than later. The unfortunate byproduct of that will be poor @Bipin getting overloaded with requests.

Eventually. But, with so much new stuff, it's hard to keep up isn't it?

...and yes, I even modeled the retro-reflective texture. Just a little something for those of us who like to get up close and personal with our props!
