I'd love to see metal prefab walls and flat roofs for your standard shipping center and logistics blight that you see all along highways here in the US.

Once again a great factory - you're on fire, Avanya!

If you're going to set your sights on dirtier industry again, can you lift a tip of the veil? Or are you still taking suggestions (if so, what I would love to see is a sand/cement factory/terminal with a pile of raw materials and a long conveyor belt, basically something that can be placed along a river - like this or this - basically assets that bridge the gap between land-based and water-based transport [even though it would just be visual]).

    Tyvm! ^^

Not sure yet what it will be. Could be refinery/chemical plant, sawmill, steel industry or soda bottling plant/brewery. I've also got some bulk stuff like the pics you linked (and ore and grain) that I want to do in the near future.

Saw-toothed roof warehouse is coming along nicely. Still got some more details to add and then the texture, but I'm pretty happy with how it's shaping up. The long side will align to the road and it will be wall to wall, so we can have loooong ones :P

Another map theme released - with the most exciting name ever! I present to you Wet Temperate :P

It mostly came about when I was working on a swamp using @Mr_Maison's awesome trees! Grass and sand just didn't cut it, so I made this temperate theme with mud as sand. Ofc it comes with custom grass, cliff, ore, oil and pavement textures too, because it would just be too boring with the default ones. ;)

In other news I've finished the warehouse model and am ready to start texturing. It's got some very nice details and a tris count around 3.3k, but for a 10x5 building that's not bad at all. I'll share some pics when it's got a bit of texture. :)

Same here. Unfortunately I can't get it to work: I've been using the pre-historic Terrain Texture Replacer mod until now, but even after disabling it, I still get the textures I used with that mod. Not too much of a tragedy as my textures are pretty decent, but this map theme just looks too good to pass up on.

Yeah, but I moved it (.dll included) to a different location on my hard drive. The Workshop version I was still subbed has been disabled for ages, so on paper the mod shouldn't be loaded at all.

Thank you very much guys! ^^

@Judazzz Very strange. Did you also try unsubbing from the workshop version? Just to make sure it isn't still doing something even though it's disabled. Might also be worth checking C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines for a settings file for Terrain Texture Replacer.

Fantastic theme! I'll have to add Southern US to my list of regions I want to create.

Yup, I un-subbed from the Workshop version, moved the local copy and all textures to a different folder 'out of reach' of the game, and haven't found any other traces of the mod either in my Workshop or local assets folder. Thanks for the suggestions though, I guess I'll just have to keep fiddling until I manage to make it work.

Cool theme @Avanya! Have you considered doing some modern industry (since your industrial buildings are some of the best), I tried to something like that, but I couldn't import it & now I have school, so no time :(. It would be interesting to see you try something like that :)

It would be so handful if CSL supported more UV channels, atleast only second UV channel. Adding dirt, damage, leaking details having its own UV coords separately from main texture UV. Most importantly - ambient occlusion texture which gives new level of realism to the model (I actually do it for my cars).

Anyway, let's stop dreaming of what is not going to happen :D.

It is so good to see more industrial buildings, logistics warehouses are needed a lot too. Nice work @Avanya.

Oh man, that's looking awesome. I have an industrial area in progress in my current city. I've been taking my time developing it, trying to focus on detail and make it realistic, and your industrial assets have been a big part of it.

Ty ty! ^^ Yeah, I did a test with the raincutters and they didn't add insane tris to it, and since this is larger than growables I figured it was worth it with the extra detail. :D

It's getting close to finished - just gotta tweek the brick texture (concrete is done), set up RICO settings and test it out. Should be up later today. ^^

    I can't wait.

I also meant to mention, part of the reason I've been taking my time is because you keep dropping bombs on the workshop and I'd have to rework my industrial zone to include them, so I'm trying to be patient, in anticipation of the next great Avanya project.

    Great work as always!

But still looks a little too clean and new for a warehouse in my opinion.. I've never seen a good looking warehouse is what I'm trying to say, but you can't always have everything you want I guess :P Maybe a tip for future industry assets. Subscribed anyway!

I use alot of texture overlapping to get sharper textures without very large textures - this however means any pattern will be repeated. This one for example has the long sides divided in 3 bits, which all share the same area, so anything more than just some random dirt or leaking patterns will stand out. There are a few cracks in the walls at very strategic places (where windows are on many bits, so you only see it once in a while). Add to that how the game blends the textures as you zoom out (the brick one's dirt looks a bit strange at a certain distance). It's a balance that I find hard to strike at times. :) If there are some of my other assets that have achieved the amount of dirt you're looking for (or if there aren't any!) please let me know! It helps alot knowing what you guys think works (I'm sure some people prefer cleaner looking assets :P ) and what doesn't. :)

    This looks great.

Question: What are those tree planters by the perimeter fence on the logistics warehouse across the street?

@Matthias King Those are modelled into VIP's warehouses (just like the fence).

I think my favorite thing about warehouses is how quick they are to make - at least those prefab ones we see everywhere. :P Got another one pretty much done, but I feel like it's missing something. It's got color variations on the edges (and on the sides of the rollup doors), but it isn't very visible. I could dirty the whole thing up more or give it another base color than white (suggestions are welcome). What do you guys think?
