I haven't seen it in-game yet, but no doubt in my mind it'll look insanely good!

And speaking of looking insanely good: here's a screenshot I took of your previous upload - I don;t think I've seen more beautiful texturing for this game than this yet - it's mind-blowing!

Thanks! Yeah, it took quite a bit of time and effort to get the textures right. As per usual some panels are photographed well and others not so much. Takes a lot of photoshop tricks to get them right. Also used a lot of alpha mapping on this building for some of the smaller terracotta details.

Here's an example of the before and after. These are all rescaled and most are already normalized.

Amazing. I got that building in what I think is a good place in my Oldtown.

I haven't placed the new one yet though. I have a spot in mind, but it's on an as-yet unterraformed island, so I have to do that part first, then several of your buildings will go along the main parkway along the northwestern shore. It's supposed to be another old and fairly historic area, and I have a number of your buildings, including the new one, set aside for that strip. I'll post a picture once I finally get around to doing it.

Sublime stuff! Is it your own design, or an existing building? Has a Dakota Building-esque quality!

I agree with everyone here. That looks incredible. I'm trying to decide if that would fit in a SoCal city, but it's so good I may have to just do it regardless.

Nah, it's a building on 495 washington street. Not very known, but it indeed has some resemblance to the Dakota.

I've released it on the workshop, you can find it here:

The shorter version is going in my Historic District today.

When was the real-life building constructed? Just for my own curiosity to fill in the story in my head.

*EDIT: never mind, I found it. Designed by architect Stephen Decatur Hatch and built in 1892. That's an old building. Romanesque-Flemish architecture. In 1898 it was a shoe factory and storehouse for wine. The first building in Tribeca to be converted for residential use. Very interesting.

:D I can't wait to see this on the workshop! What size is it? 2x3? I'm pretty sure I know right where it's going when it's released.

    It's already there, 2x4.

Yea, since I only saw the sketchfab link I thought it wasn't done yet, but when I loaded Steam I saw it on the workshop. Already got it and placed it exactly where I had in mind. It looks awesome. You're doing killer work, and I'd love to see more LA buildings from you. This one is fantastic.

I might post a pic of where it went.

Another beautiful building. Two small comments: it does look a little bit bright compared to other buildings (I was using daylight classic + tropical LUT). Also, it appears the LOD model is a few meters offset from the main model.
