OMG it looks so good! Im glad my 1 meter distance was enough, well at least I hope so. Had a pretty packed long weekend and actually no time to test the station myself, but it looks like it fits nicely on Boformers screenshots^^.

Well Fiendbold, Using your Steam name this next station is named after you...."Fiendbild Street". You deserve a trophy for your Brooklyn themed buildings that add more realism to the look of inner city neighborhoods and fit right in with these stations.

This is the second elevated station with a slightly more modern look.

Hey everyone. I suffered a major setback with my desktop PC. I bought a bad power supply that fried all 3 of my internal hard drives that had all my asset creation content including the Photoshop files and all Sketchup and Blender models along with all raw textures. (one of the drives was my backup). I am in the process of reinstalling and starting over from scratch. If I have to update any existing assets I have on the workshop, I will try my best by pulling what I can from within mod tools. It's gonna be a little while before I get my momentum back.

As a warning to anyone replacing a modular power supply, though some will say it shouldn't matter, NEVER use the old cables. Use the new ones that come with the psu in the box.

Ugh, that sounds absolutely horrible. Kudos for not losing all enthusiasm in a situation like that.

And as I told you (but it can be useful to stress it for anyone), NEVER ever go for a cheap psu !!! It is what keeps your machine safe and stable.

You were quite unlucky here also... but I'm happy to see you keep your head up :bunny:

Oh man, I feel sry for you, loosing all harddrives is indeed unlucky :(. A few years ago, a cheap power unit fried my mainboard, the GPU and the CPU,... these things are vicious.

Yes, forgot to mention I tried to be cheap and got a referbished unit. I was mad at the fact I needed a new psu in the first place because I just fixed my car which took almost all I had.....but lesson learned. Some things you cannot cut corners with. Buy your PSU BRAND NEW!!

Have you been able to recover anything? Your data could technically still be on the platters.......

    Very unfortunate news :/

If the electronic part is fried, it is still possible to get the data... some companies will open the drives in a dust-free room, put the discs into a working case and pull the data out... But it's $%&^! expensive !!!!

Damn, that sucks man. I had my PSU go a few months ago - took out my mobo and CPU with it. Luckily not any of my HDDs or my brand new GPU, though. Spent $1100 on my rebuild with a new CPU, Mobo, CPU cooler, PSU and primary HDD. On the up side, it meant a considerable upgrade for me. :)

    Good luck moving forward, mate!

Sometimes, there's even a very cheap and simple solution. If just the disc controller on the circuit board is fried, you can buy a new one for $10 or so.

I'm gonna look for a new board. I doubt the data is gone. I never heard any clicking from the disk. Just have to find the same model hard drive. That SATA drive was bought in 2008. The most painful part is all my custom texture files..especially the complex color coded layers Photoshop ones I put so much work into. I'm rebuilding my texture library now. I still have the original parent texture folder which I stopped updating since a year ago on an external HDD. From now on, I will make sure to update the parent folders of such work. In fact, I'm using the cloud.

Good news is out of this mess came a great CG contract that would not have happened if I didn't lose the drives and I already started on more assets for the game. Rebuilding textures is what's slowing me down, but things will get better with time.

Very, very nice addition to the big city end of the game.  It will take a long time to to develop for C:S the same levels of depth and quality of the content that is available for SC4, but it's stuff like your Galaxy Building that keeps us moving forward on that path.

Nice pics Namspopof! I been trying to capture a Scots Pine for my next tree (very challenging for this game) and I also have a chestnut and Beech coming. I will put the trees you mentioned here on my todo list.

just saw this thread  been absent from the boards a while, but these trees are fantastic! esp the white and colored birches.  one of my fave parts of the game were the trees. as far as the willows go, would it be possible for you to make them extra lanky weeping willows, like the ones that extend over lakes?

    Sure! :D

I'll make a version like that one. I love those willows!
