Thanks Tarkus. What I gather is be helpful to others with things like the NAM and RHW and get privately selected to be an accsociate by you or other NAMites and maybe get "promoted" to a full access member.&nbsp;<div>Thanks Again&nbsp;</div><div>Will12 (Billy)</div>

Hi, I installed the network ad on and the high speed rail project, but i seem to have no new stations.

Transit stations are not included. They're a separate download.

I recommend this set of stations: https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/19866-ghsr-stations-and-hubs/

Be sure to download the dependencies for it.

I have a dumb question. When I installed the latest NAM I must have forgot to click the Turning Lane plugin. Is there a simple way to add the files, or do I need to re-install? Same with the reduced one-way road arrows. What was I thinking? Thanks for your help!

Simply redo the installation, and don't forget the checkboxes for whatever you missed the first time.

Will reinstalling do anything to the current addons i have (RHW, NWM, etc)

No, those should remain as-is, provided you're running the most up-to-date versions of them.

Side note: Good to see a Wazzu Cougars fan around here! I'm actually a Duck fan, but I lived in "Cougar territory" for a couple years, so I like the Cougs as well (and am glad to see you guys get a good coach for next year).

You are probably one of the few people who know where Pullman is. Cougar fans are proud folks, but secretly we would love to have a program comparable to the Ducks. We'll see what Mr. Leach can do. Thanks for the NAM help.

Ok, a little update. POP-60,389 I have 5 stations in on a straight line going from a residental area to an industrial one. The station with the lowest use is going at 124% and the highest at 424%. My data view is telling me most on the line is going at green 100% (8000)

These volumes are quite normal. The NAM traffic simulator you are using has a monorail network capacity more than five times as high as the Maxis traffic simulator; for this reason you're going to need much more station capacity than the Maxis stations supply. The best thing to do is to find monorail stations with higher capacity on the STEX. If you want to do a little modding, you can set the capacity of these stations to whatever you wish. The recommended capacity for standard monorail stations in the NAM is 45,000; this accommodates all the capacity versions of the NAM traffic simulator.

Rearrange you stations so that they are on spurs and not on the main line. The program counts through traffic on the station load, so except for the ultimate end points the stats are no good.

Unfortunately, this solution doesn't work in many cases. The Sims tend to take shorter trips than people in RL, so it is not unusual to see most or all of a network's traffic coming in or leaving at a particular station. In such cases, having the station on a siding will not reduce the usage of the station.

If you want to see station usage for stations on the main line, it is usually a simple matter of comparing the network traffic on both sides of the station and taking the difference between the two numbers. Although this is not exactly accurate if Sims both leave and enter the station, the way the game works, this rarely happens to any significant extent during a given commute period. And the station sidings don't make the through monorails run any faster; as with all travel types, the monorails are actually single-passenger and do not stop (or even slow down) at intermediate stations.

Where can I find a monorail station with 45.000 capacity?

^ Highest I've seen is the dual track one by the BLAM group's Cowkilla. Capacity is 30,000 which will therefore handle up to 120,000. If you get more riders than that you should consider adding another line that collects passengers at a different point.

I recently downloaded the NAM, and my parks arent showing up now. Like my playgrounds, plazas, ponds, etc. They dont have the trees and such in them.

Is this a bug caused from the NAM?

    Welcome to Simtropolis...

Never had NAM have that effect, but you might check your game's graphics settings (under Tools) and make sure they are set to "High". If you updated your game recently, they may have been reset to "Low".

Maybe this should go in the request thread but I'll post it here. Is there any confirmation of making the L1 & 2 viaducts draggable? I would really like that. Also will cross linking be included in like the way of HSPR and SAM pieces for the viaducts and FLUPS etc?

The most obvious problem here is that you dragged the roundabout the wrong way, and therefore, the roundabout is broken, leaving no connection to the two areas.

To overcome this problem, turn the direction around of the roundabout. For RHD users, the OWR roundabout is supposed to go counter-clockwise; for LHD users clockwise.

    Best,

    Maarten

Okay, so I tried a slope mod and I HATED EVERY SECOND OF IT. IT JUST WON'T DO WHAT I ASK! If I try and bring it back to ground level to make an earth ramp it does this:

    emc213jan001332933050.png

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

See that ditch? THAT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN! and when I tried a different setting it just raised the ground when I tried to drag it! I hated it so much I deleted it from the Recycle Bin. There needs to be a 200-page tutorial on this stuff. I give up. If I want earth ramps I'll change the T-21 exemplars for the L0-L1 ramps!

EDIT: All of a sudden I regret making this post...

EDIT2: If it helps this is the one I used...

It's because of the code in the game. Making those nice smooth elevation changes makes this stuff. It is unavoidable.

You can avoid the issue by building a road Anchor (a 2x3 area of single-click road) at the top and bottom of the slope. This forces the game to tie the changed ground to what the anchor is at (It's too large an area for the game to change as well). If it doesn't work, then you need to move the anchors further apart.

If you moved them too far apart and it dug the hole/built a crest again, just place road stubs along the road from your anchor to force the road to that level.

We purposely intended for the "RHW-7C" to be a possibility . . . in fact, there's a starter for it (just rotate the 8C starter around) and AFAIK, there may be more pieces related to it in there.

That's standard game behaviour. It highlights all buildings that interact with the Subway Layer, which both the station and and Transition do and it also shows the congestion on any subway tile. It's a big help in larger cities with congested lines.

I never cease to be amazed by the things I find when I need them. I just dropped in a rail over diagonal avenue, which I thought was going to be difficult. Hit it first time.

The NAM is a job very well done. Keep up the good work.

I thought you guys fixed this?

My only possible explanation is that those IIDs are reserved for something else in natively LHD versions...

No, that one hasn't been fixed because we didn't know it was broken.

I didn't go through looking at every piece (I don't have the time, patience or short-term memory), I fixed the ones that were reported.

EDIT: Also, I cannot reproduce it on my end. Try reinstalling the NAM or getting new copies of the SimCityX.dat files, because you're missing Maxis files there.

And make sure your game is up to at least 1,1,638 like it says in the NAM documentation.

The missing path file is actually preventing the update from installing. It says the file contents don't match.
