I fail to see what the NAM has to do with this. Can you post a screenshot or two illustrating your problem? What does the route query show for the area that has stopped growing?

I can't seem to download NAM from the gamefront.com website. It tells me to check the spelling or that the file has maybe been moved. Anyone know what's going on?

Not sure what you're getting from Gamefront, but Version 30 (with the Hotfix) is the current version of NAM. It is available from the LEX or through the link on the STEX.

I got linked to the gamefront download from the STEX, but it tells me the file can't be found.

The link from the LEX (that's the SC4devotion one right) did work. I have it installed now.

Gamefront is a front-end to ModDB, which is a legitimate distribution site for the NAM. Apparently, ModDB is automatically migrating its uploads to Gamefront. The NAM Team is looking into this.

But....hahaa....that's a funny way of being normal...watching those cars falling...

Ummm talking about visible, what's the invinsible loop connector does actually??

I never use that one and it seems my RHW connetion is doing fine without it... o.O

The intention of slip lanes is to get right-turning traffic out of the intersection itself. End result: Assuming you didn't mess up your traffic simulator, less intersection congestion.

hmmm....alright,..so basically you just simply plop it on roads and avenue like tuleps, or??

i'd like to use it in my cities, but i never see someone use this in their city so i don't know how to use it properly...

I was reading the traffic plugin files section in the NAM read me and it says in all the capacity versions except the classic the road and avenue have the same capacity. That doesn't make sense, shouldn't the avenue have at least double the capacity of a road since it has 4 lanes instead of 2? And doesn't the pretty much render the avenue useless because you can get the same from a road?

When it says that AVE and RD have identical capacities, it means that they have identical capacities per tile, and it should say so. In other words, in order to get the AVE's full-width capacity, you need to multiply by 2.

(For the record, they were equalised because without that, it would render most of the NWM useless. AVEs, originally, had a capacity that was four times that of Road. Not very realistic when you jump from two lanes to four.)

There's no index for path files. If you're just doing a standard GLR setup, you can actually reference the NAM GLR Plugin's path files directly. Otherwise, I'd just use an auto-generated IID, and as long as the IID after the initial "0x" doesn't begin with a 0, 4, 5, 7, or 9 (all of which are used by Maxis or NAM items), you should be okay.

As a novice to SC4 modding I might be overlooking something obvious, but I have a strange bug with the avenue flup.

Everything is installed for left hand drive and works as it's supposed to. But for some reason the avenue flup is for right hand drive so I can't connect to it. The other flups work fine...

I've already tried reinstalling NAM but get the same issue. Any ideas to solve this?

Just a quick question. After I have already installed NAM, how might I go about changing the capacity settings? Right now it's on medium, I'm thinking about going to ultra as I am playing in a custom region (LA) with all Large maps. Would this be the correct course of action? How would I change it or do I need to uninstall it and RTMT to reset them properly. Also, which RTMT corresponds with which NAM setting? I used default as it seemed Medium is "default" in NAM.

If you did a default NAM installation and said yes to the question about installing the TSCT, you can just run the TSCT program. If it fails, be sure you have the latest Java run-time (JRE) package.

Oh cool I was wondering what that did. Thanks!

What would be the recommended settings?

I want a close to reality setting not something where tons of people can go down 40 miles of street. Should I just play around and experiment to find what suits my needs?

"Medium" is probably fine for you; you might even want to try "Low". But feel free to experiment; there's no penalty for doing so. Also, you can use the Network Capacity Multiplier in the TSCT to effectively generate intermediate capacity settings.

As for RTMT, it sounds like you need to install the . When following the installation instructions, you should pick the High capacity settings.

Hi. I have a question about the Diagonal Bridge Enabler:

    shanbatana25en001358226.png

Why that peaks at the edges of the bridge appears? Also, is necessary that all the terrain were equal at both sides of the bridge?

I was wondering if it is possible to change the sidewalk texture of the Tram-on-Street puzzle pieces to match the sandstone sidewalk texture? I have no problem going into LE and swapping out textures - If that is the case then I was wondering what NAM file I could find those pieces. Or perhaps this has already been done? Thanks!
