This is not exactly a view of the city, but I need to make this close-up to my very favourite architectonical object in Santiago de Chile: the Entel Tower.


Built entirely around a functional design, its height and modernist style make it the most clear sign of the industrialization of the late 20th century in Chile. It is placed right in the west side of the civic axis of Santiago, less than 100 meters from La Moneda, the neoclassical, 18th century built, presidential palace: as an State build-estructure, characterizes the 'modern' end of the continuum of architectonical styles in the civic axis, that is mainly conformed of sober modernist midrise buildings, projected by Karl Brunner in the 1920s and 1930s.

Nationally famous, the top of the 'antenófano' is used every year as the launch place of the most known and principal fireworks show in the country's celebration of the new year.

My main motivation to learn to BAT is to could build a right version of this majestic tower for Simcity.

Ouro Preto, Brazil

 

Ouro Preto was the first brazilian city to become World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

 

 

I studied there for six months at university before coming to the one I am now. I can say, is one of the most fantastic cities that I've lived/visited. Museums all over the city, buildings and roads from the Portuguese royal family and also the Brazilian made by slaves stone by stone. Ouro Preto was the birthplace of one of the major revolts occurred in Brazil in the eighteenth century, 'Inconfidência Mineira', a conspiracy, who helped along the many other revolts in Brazil, culminating in the country independence from Portugal.
