Crane Lake. Inspired by a bunch of places around where I grew up.

*snip*

Interesting! I like the small town feel next to the little lake. Would like to see a more gradual dispersion of development from the city to the country...

Indeed, I hadn't really worked on much of that in the earlier pictures. Here's the current view:

SUYN%20-%20Lake%20North_zps3vmo9iox.png

SUYN%20-%20Crane%20Northeast_zpscdlupdyg

With some water bug added to challenge your suspension of disbelief... it was either that or zots though, tough call. :)

Simply amazing. Really reminds me of some of Badsim's content. And that is a huge complement.

Looks amazing, as I said on your CJ thread.

And wow, I had forgotten about badsim's stuff... been a while since I last looked at it.... that's some really insanely detailed stuff.

I made a small campground for one of my cities

c8E95aH.png

It looks good, but i would make three small alterations:

a) I would use HD trees, it would give the image more quality.

b) In the pile of gravel, you can always add some gravel in the ground, for it to blend more nicely.

c) In those big rocks, you can add some smaller rocks around them (sparsing imo).

That said, I liked it, and camps do look like that.

A place for fishing or other seaside stuff. It was very pristine before the I-96 came through. Nowadays old man Herschel is the only one who ever comes around, despite the fact that there's hardly any fish still around. Poor Herschel.

@__B That really looks nice . might I ask . How did you get Gray sand on the beach ?

Poor Herschel  . He knows there's hardly any fish . But can't blame a guy for trying . Sometimes it just feels good to be out in nature . :D

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Nature's not really something I've focused on a whole lot lately, except for when I'm trying to create scenes for my telecommunication towers;

The last photo is stitched between two different cities and I wanted to create a different looking mountain in each.

Pretty good work with the riverbanks, philforhockey! Like it.

This is mayor 11241036' favourite relaxing spot, in a swamp close to a small village. Hope you like it.

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

The same river in Faverdale, except this picture was taken upstream.

I must admit, I really like this image because it reminds me of a major U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project recently carried out here San Antonio to restore the watershed and ecosystem of the "Mission Reach" segment of the San Antonio River downstream from downtown.  Historically, San Antonio was a city of spring-fed streams and creeks feeding a lazily meandering river, but this natural system along with its slow water flows and wildlife was radically altered by starkly over-engineered urban flood control projects which are only now being slowly rectified.  It will be many years before the reintroduced riparian woodlands and aquatic habitats of the Mission Reach Ecosystem Restoration and Recreation Project take hold and mature, but your image gives a perfect idea of what to expect from our city's vast "regional" San Antonio River Improvements Project, the largest urban landscape project San Antonio has undertaken.
