^^These churches look a bit old fashioned but they still fit in with the city. Even in the future I think there will still be ancient buildings. It gives one the impression that this i a very realistic city built over a long period of time.

I still like this 20th century church very much (click on pic for larger image):

    Nice church indeed!

Also, can I ask, do you use a particular roadside tree mod?

Yes, I use the which you can customize to some extent with trees from Cycledogg and Pegasus. On the image, this mod is partially overridden by the trees that come with mattb325's Boom Style Terrace houses, which is the same seasonal tree as in his series of small commercials.

Why you say "Merry Christmas"? I think Muslims don't celebrate christmas.

Mosque from one of my CJs!

Why you say "Merry Christmas"? I think Muslims don't celebrate christmas.

There are several facts that lead to make that picture possible:

    1) I was devoting that specific CJ update to "check" how Christmas was celebrated in three very different areas: Barnanova (a Mediterranean nation), Rankine (a district in NYC) and Al-Qurayyah (an oil-fueled emirate).

    2) This CJ is devoted to follow the life of a European worker on an emirate, and as any of us would do, he observes his home traditions (as depicted on the New Year's Eve update).

    3) Al-Qurayyah is supposed to be a former UAE emirate, where Christmas is relatively celebrated by foreigners in real life there. A quick search on Google will show you.

    @pole475: Thanks!

St. Michael's Cathedral is located on Mount Angelus, the highest point within the city limits. It is the seat of Archdiocese of Jasonovia. On the left is St. Pius X Minor Seminary and on the right is the Chancery.

Then plop a SAM starter piece (any texture works), but place it so that the dirt part that disappears is over top of the street cul-de-sac.  The street tile will be gone, but the intersection with the road will remain and look cut off.  Then just place the church back.

Where do I get this "SAM starter piece"?

It's part of NAM. Just make sure you have them all selected during the install process. There are even more texture options with the latest NAM.

OK, that is a nice building, but not a church. I think it's a Spanish Castle or something. Not that I'm saying you to not imagine, I'm just saying.

This is the newest addition, all dress up nicely like. Don't usually mess with MMPs, but was compelled with this image.

It is a church. The palace of the Spanish kings was built as a monastery, and the cathedral at the center of the monastery complex is the Basilica of San Lorenzo el Real. Definitely a church. The complex is still a monastery of the Order of St. Augustine.

The answer is actually the same for both questions.  http://hide-inoki.com/bbs/archives/sc4_0856.html    It can be a bit tricky. Make sure to get all the dependencies that's associated with it.

The upper one is the Uspenski Cathedral, and it's on the STEX.  Not sure about the lower one.

What a lovely MMP graveyard. Good stuff!

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage
