Yellowlab hasn't been here in quite a while. That's why it hasn't been updated.31.gif

Heh. Yeah. My sentiment exactly (although for me it's a bit more than five years already).

Isn't having no life fun?10.gif

The amount of life a member of a forum has is inversely proportional to their post count. Remember that. 49.gif

I'd contest that!  I've been around almost three years (it will be three in about a month and a day), and I would bet you that you, Jackie, Dusktrooper, sloppet, and all the other people with over 10,000 posts have a much more active life than I do...yet I don't think I'll ever match any of your post-count paces even on your slowest days 3.gif.

Can't speak for the others, but I would be shocked if there was actually someone here with less of a life than me. That would not be an easy achievement, I assure you.

There are only three people I'm comfortable hugging: my sisters and my mother.

Other than that, don't touch me. Seriously.

Having a job does not equate to having a life. Having a life implies having a social life. That is, you have friends you hang out with, go and do things with, etc. Not having a life means you don't really do that kind of stuff and are spending most of your free time doing things by yourself.

It's (understandably) said that devoting large amounts of time to a website, on the scale necessary to work up a huge post count, is not possible if you have a life since if you do you won't have enough free time leftover to waste on the site in order to reach that level.

Strictly speaking, anyone hanging out on a forum could, to a degree, be said to not have a life, since people with full active social lives would have no interest in chatting via a forum and would perhaps ridicule people who do. People with full active social lives don't use the internet quite so much, and when they do, it's more along the lines of sites like Facebook, where, despite being on the internet, they're interacting with their real life friends rather than random strangers (as is the case on a forum).

Felt like blowing the dust off the profile for my near Hexannuarian party.  3.gif  (Technically the original forum software was already running in December anyway, so the celebration isn't all that preemptive)

What all you cool cats doing around here anyway?
