Dang.  I missed it.  3 days late....

OK - so I have been here a year and three days.  What do I get?  A prize? A certificate? A raise?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Well?

I really like that I get to follow up one of the newest members...and here I am stopping by nearing 5 and a half years! (well counting from the original site Oct '02 anyway...only a little over 5 years since official ST version 1!) I wish I could've hung around more in the last 2 years, but alas sometimes the real world requires attending... 2.gif Glad to see everything going smoothly even after all the rough patches. Anyway, just wanted to check in on the place the taught me so much. Happy building!

My gosh, has it really been almost 4 and half years? You young'uns don't know what it was like back in the day...we typed html directly, Netscape was the dominant browser, Napster was free, and everyone hung out at Wren Weburg's.

Ooooh. I'm about 4 years old. Yay! 9.gif

*goes into flashback mode*

Ahh, I remember the first time I ever came here, the newest BAT was SimGoober's Sheraton Hotel. It looked so awesome compared to the crap they had at Simcity.com's exchange 3.gif

I remember my favorite CJ back in 2004: Dobruk by Frogface. It was so Parisian. 9.gif

Well, it's my birthday today, and guess what that means!! No, not presents. But an ST anniversary! yay ! ! I'm not entirely sure what anniversary it is because my brain is unable to take away 08 from whenever the hell I registered without rebooting. Suffisize to say; its my anniversary and my birthday (yay double celebrations; makes remembering so much more easier. Now all I need to do is propose to my boyfriend on this day, and I'll never have to remember anything ever again!) so wooo.

5 years and counting wow time goes by fast.

“The American city should be a collection of communities where every member has a right to belong. It should be a place where every man feels safe on his streets and in the house of his friends. It should be a place where each individual's dignity and self-respect is strengthened by the respect and affection of his neighbors. It should be a place where each of us can find the satisfaction and warmth which comes from being a member of the community of man. This is what man sought at the dawn of civilization. It is what we seek today.”

Heh, congrats, Duke. Nice picture as well, and just for the record, I do not want to know how long you've been waiting for a good excuse to post it. 3.gif

Don't feel ashamed. It just means that you, unlike me, actually have a life. 34.gif

Um, un1, I guess you didn't read the whole thread, but:

Just a thought...there is a big, wide internet out there, and on this site there's a lot of places to post your thoughts not pertaining to this topic...why don't we use it and not clutter up the thread with random tangents?

I second Yellow's thoughts here.  This thread is for those members that are still active to sign in saying they are here and alive.  For those of you that haven't yet reached the one year mile-stone leave your comments off this thread.  We don't want to see anyone saying they'll be a yearling in X amounts of days, weeks or whatever.

So please, only post if you currently meet the requirements set forth.  If you don't, that's tough for you.  When your anniversary date passes then you can post your thoughts.

Thanks.quote>

The admin assmin (you're welcome for the new nickname) has spoken. Ages ago. So no posting here for you until March 30th, 2009, m'kay?

I started thinking about that, why spend over a year of my life on here? 4.gif No idea I'm hoping I'm not still around here for five years though 3.gif,
