They've been predicting thunderstorms here all week, yet not a drop of rain.  The weathermen can't even get the temp forecasts called right, all week they've been 10 degrees off.  Yesterday the high forecasted was supposed to be 86F and we reached a high of 96F.  Today the high was forecasted to be 80F and we hit 90F.  Tomorrow [sat] the high is forecasted at 73F, but most likely will get into the mid-80's again.  I can understand a +5/-5 temp differential when making forecasts, but 10?  Sure makes weathermen look like a bunch of incompetent fools.

At the moment it is 27 in my living room.  Outside it is 19, heading for 26 with the same high humidity.  The cold front we were expecting from the west arrived with a big bang to the north of me, but nothing much happened here except some overcast skies and winds.  The heat wave seems to have been broken.  This morning has intermittent sun.  No rain is forecast for this area, but we could do with some.  The farms are looking a little dry.

It is a sunny day and things have really abated after the heat wave.  Currently 20 with an RH of 70%.  Quite comfortable.  Expect mid 20s over the next few days.  Sleeping has improved.

Currently 27 and humid in my living room.  Outside it is reported to be 21 with a humidex of 25.  My place has a lot of east facing windows and if I could I'd replace them with the proper modern low-E set up, but I don't control this building.

We are having a heat wave for the next few days.  Currently it is 27 with relative humidity 72 so it feels like 36.  Forecast high today 33 (43 with humidity), high tomorrow 31, Thursday 24 then a drop to seasonal 13 on Friday.

Here in England it is lightly overcast, about 17 degrees. Weather beginning to cool. Aside from my bad circulation in my hands and feet I have nowt against the cold. However the footpaths become somewhat muddy from now on

The thing with London jobs is that Jobcentre only pays you commuting fare until you start working over 16 hours per week (for whatever wage, even commission as I found out) so one would have to afford the railfare to London to work there. While out of necessity I end up applying for jobs in London the weekend/public holiday 'super saver' return to London Victoria (excluding tube travel/suburban travel) is 15 pounds. Even at that small rate to do this daily would mean I'd have to be being paid over fifteen pounds per day just to afford the rail fare. On most days the fare is more like thirty pounds return. As I'm entry level I doubt I'll be paid that much as Jobseekers is only 56 pounds per week.
