Bixel, I have unfortunately an eye disease at present, and use the computer only briefly. Look at this very good picture collection.

Dynasty Court is done BATting-wise and in the queue for modding and lot work. However, there are 10 more HK Garden lots, 2 more HK buildings and some MAPP stuff in the queue as well, and the release order will depend on for which building I get good ideas first.

Here yo go guys! I am currently working on making a portfolio to get a job on in the 3D Artist/Model business, here are some of the renders that will be used in the Portfolio. I am posting the link to download them for you so that you can use them for whatever-purpose you desire. These are 2000x2000 pixel renderings. Print them, make a poster out of them, or silk-screen a T-Shirt. Whatev! Have fun.

@ everybody: I just got the 10 additional planned HK Garden Tower lot designs finished. Now I need to copy the design to LM test lots, plop these lots, take screenshots, edit them, write a readme and package everything. It will be quite a big download; ~9 megabytes uncompressed, ~7 megabytes compressed, I'd say. But it will be worth every byte!

@tankmank: I could tell you, but I prefer to keep the suspense, lol. =P It won't be much longer, though, now I got those HK Garden Towers almost wrapped up.

@ Bixel: Argh, another graphics glitch with tower 4! Now before we do anything, let's make sure I didn't f*** up when you sent me the new version and deleted the new one and kept the old one by mistake. Does the latest version have the exact file name Garden_Tower4-0x5ad0e817_0x71554086_0x30000.SC4Model, or is that one of the bugged versions?

The problem now is that from one perspective, the front wall and the side wall next to the parking garage disappear. They only appear when I highlight the building. (???) However, the LODs are basically working pretty fine now.

I just wanted to say that i'll be idle for some time because I'm helping the MAPP team with shops for their release mid-june. Sorry for the waiting but I'm also a member of the mapp team and since they have a deadline, they have priority at the moment

@ T Wrecks: I know you have a whole lot of work to do. Keep in mind that it is your hobby, don't stress yourself, take your time, relax. You deserve it more than anyone else here. I didn't want to offend you. If people know how busy you are, they'll understand that it can take a while for you to finish the lots because of the huge heaps. I personally have a whole lot on my mind as well, not only for BAT but for social life and school as well. Nearing the end of the schoolyear it is very important for me to make sure I'll graduate. That's the reason why I'm less active as before, I don't feel like Batting most of the time, I rather do something relaxing. So my advice to you is take some more time off, get a colleague to help you relief your workload. I'm sure people wouldn't mind for a project to take long under your circumstances. If they do, I'd call them a bunch of winers!

@ Paul: Don't worry, I wasn't being that serious after all. It just hit me that I ought to get some more MAPP stuff done because there really IS a deadline.

Btw, you got mail and 3 days time to download something nice. =)

If I had any skills in batting or modding, I would offer to help. But, alas, I have absolutely not BAT skills whatsoever... Not that I have tried (seriously) batting for SC4. Only for sc3k and scurk for sc2k. I had no skill either time and those both had much simpler interfaces. I did download gmax and bat to try it out, but I think it is over my head. I can't even make nice photoshop images. I can't draw by had either. No artistic abilities at all.

As for the Lots Editor and Modding... I might be able to do that kind of stuff if I took some time and played around with the programs. So far everytime I have tried it just makes me frustrated. But I am going to try again because I want to be able to help out, that is if my help is wanted (and if I am good enough to meet the high level of standards set in the already released HK buildings). So, I'll see if I can get these things working properly and see if I can actually do GOOD work.

Also, yeah 2IFC on a 4x4 base!

Skyfire2275 Its all about finding the good tutorials really, phillipobo's tutorial for BAT was essential, all the other dusty gmax/3d modelling tutorials all featured something I didn't want to do, like make a 3D Lamp, or an apple. BORING. Phillipobo's tutorial put me right where I wanted, making buildings. You should really try it, I had no 3D modelling experience what-so-ever until now.

@ Skyfire: Hey, I guess I could teach you what I know. Lot Editor work is almost purely graphical, that shouldn't be a problem. The rest is some work with the reader (looks difficult at first, but quickly becomes routine work) and a bit with LEProp. All of these activities don't require any programming skills whatsoever; all you need is the knowledge about which button or property has which effect, and where you need to enter which value. JBSimio was also interested in finding out decent stats for his BATs, so I reckon I could give a kind of 'mini-class' - or I take a few days off from modding and finally write a concise tutorial...

No, I still need to write a readme, package everything and come up with decent names. You wouldn't want to query one of these and get a name like R$$Garden_NoBase_x2_4x4_St7, right? That's why I have thought out a numbering scheme from 1-10 that will result in names like Garden Estate 1a, Garden Estate 8b, etc. The wealth level can be seen in the query window anyway. Does anybody have a nice suggestion for a name I could give these towers? The name should sound ok both on individual towers and on multi-tower lots. If I don't get any response, I'm gonna stick to Garden Estate, and that's it. A release might be possible by next weekend.

Garden Estate sounds good to me, its meant to be generic and used in any concievable pattern and plan for all CJ makers and SC4 Players. Take your time on this T, I know you worked very hard on this, beyond all my expectations. BTW, I know Paulvmontfort used your html readme directly into the Simtropolis description page, how did he do that?
