O i see, thanks for clearing that out.

Great work, again, guys! About the Dynasty Court: I'm suggesting you guys should do what you pretty much did with The Centre.. make two versions.. one of the real colour scheme, the second of your choice of colour scheme. Also, I think this would more diversify the skylines of our Hong Kong based regions.

Thanks.

You'll have to wait a bit. Bixel sent a first version to me, but he has doubts about the model occupying too much space and looking to fat in comparison to photographs of the real building, although I'm pretty sure he used accurate dimensions. Another aspect is that I'd like to know what's on that base roof because I don't want to start with mumbo-jumbo like chairs, tables and umbrellas just to fill the space with anything. Some planters, some flora in the flower beds, and a satellite dish or two is all I got on there right now. Somehow I'm not sure about the base itself, either...

However, I'll be leaving for an Easter visit at my parents' place today, and I won't be back at my game PC before tuesday, hence there won't be any progress from my side for the time being.

@Jasoncw

The pawn shop became very good, but the sign is a very important detail in my opinion. Keep it up!

@bixel

The red marking of the area picture (you posted) shows the place where today the "Nina towers" are. Do you want to make these? Some late43.gif pictures for you.

nina towers get a thumbs up....

@bixel.... well the holonic tower wouldn't be much more work than the liberte i can't imagine considering its structural simplicity. but if its too big for you to manage then so be it lol, anyway again with the SHKC i think it's six by five base allows breathing room so it stands out among towers in a packed downtown

HONG KONG, I really like those pink towers what are they? I can prolly do those in a jiffy.

SHKC: Yeah I honestly dont know what is on that foundation roof on the SHKC, maybe it mostly bare? I know there is some flora but dunno about anything else.

Hey guys,

As the new moderator of the BAT open discussion thread, I've edited the very first post in this thread with (the introduction) featuring all of the buildings you have released with pictures and links. I hope you find this useful and I hope your downloaders do as well. 2.gif

Hrmm...names to those residential towers would be nice. Here's the Dynasty Court, pretty much DONE! Except a few obvious color changes. I f#$%ed up the nightlights accidently so it will not be shown here. Anyhoo--

Mightygoose's picture shows the major model of the buildings of the Hong Kong houseownership placement scheme! This kind of model is very popular in Hong kong in the 1980s and 1990s and they are very common in Hong Kong. Though the model is similar, different courts have diffrent colours, some are in dark blue, or greenish, brown yellow and etc. Siu Lun Court in Tuen Mun is an example.

Bixel, I do realize that your BATs have improved, but what you are showing lately is just ridiculous. Walls that look as if you could touch them and as if they would feel just as the real thing, pools that reflect the facade of the building, windows that look like they might be opened any minute by someone who wants to get some fresh air into his apartment... INSANE!

In fact, my only concern is the bright white texture on the roof of the tunnel - that IS a road tunnel that leads through the building, isn't it? Oh, and the windows in the front side of the towers look a bit odd when they are in the shadows, but that's about it. The rest is -I might repeat myself here- so ridiculuosly good that I'm wondering if BATting can get any better than this.

Thanks for the great replys T Wrecks and Mightygoose!!!, I got a new render w/new color scheme, relatively the same but somehow the colors are a tad better, hope you like it, Also the LODs are snug fit on this one, so you SHOULD be able to place flora on the terraced entry way (not anything else though) and the edges are relatively snug as well. I, might do a 3rd render to do something about that too white garage. Anyhoo its late for me, so tomorrow maybe w/pictures. ---Also my level size is 4 each, however the actual hieght of the building is 147m, this model happens to be 198m so I may shrink this puppy just a tad. -- But you guys decide! Should I keep this height or lower it a little? 198/4 = 49.5 (46 is the tallest tower, so actual height for each level should really be just under 4m.)

Bixel: Actually the Tower 1 is 159m & Tower 3 is 151m, according to the Emporis.

    Look what I achieved: I grew both versions of the Arch (both medium wealth), 3 times the sham wan towers (2 medium wealth and 1 high wealth), 2 times Central Plaza, 1 time The Centre, Janne Toren and a couple of NDEX towers in one city:

    Only the marked buildings are plopped!

    Everythings looking good as usual. I wouldn't shrink anything down. If anything, maxis scales buildings vertically by 130%, so for it to be "right" it would need to be taller than it is in real life. Some of the landmarks (smith tower, seafirst center) aren't scaled up, so they are too short compared to other buildings, although anyone not familiar with the buildings wouldn't notice.

    mightygoose thanks I have 2 more similar 'Estate' towers based off of that HK site you found. I think what will happen is that I will send all three themes (towers) to T Wrecks, or anybody else who feels like doing LOT work, Seriously he is a bit overworked. Kwai Chung, Ting Hung, and Lei Kum something..... I'm think single tower Lots, 2,300 pop and 2 Tower lots average 5000-6000 each. I really don't like pushing those number very high because it makes them harder to grow and I kinda like having forests of Estates propping up everywhere. mightygoose since you have been pretty interested in this stuff perhaps you should crank out that LOT editor and play around with some of our buildings and see what you can make. We can use another Modder.

    Jasoncw I got a much better verson of the Dynasty Court with a better (true to form) color scheme, should be pretty nice and fun to grow. I really need to start workiong in the Portland Project so hopefully you shouldn't see anything new from me. HEheheheh, except of course I already am working onthe Tung Chung Cresent, but hopefully I'll keep my hands off of that for a while.

    lol, yeah, T Wrecks has been busy lately.  Right now, I could have 7 buildings done by the end of next week, and you pump 'em out really fast.  Part of me wants to pm him with, "hey, how was easter? btw, allmyunfinishedbuildings.zip"  but the other part thinks that wouldn't be nice and I should wait untill he's more free, lol.

    and T Wrecks, I just noticed that your name sounds like "T Rex" 37.gif18.gif
