I feel that the curtains (or blinds) should appear at varying heights in the windows, just so that there's far more variety in the building's interior appearance.

Speaking of windows, are you using any ground plane at all? I also wonder whether you might need a "sky plane" for this model, too, because some of the windows are looking upwards... maybe one of the BAT experts can help out.

What will be the lot size of Chase Tower? I'm going to find a suitable spot for it in my main downtown :)

Check out my CJ Spedbury, here :)

Enormous building :O !!! Chicago is one of my favorite cities. This building will be important in the game :thumb:

For me the lot must be an 4x7 . The building size is aproximativly 103 meters by 60 meters.

However, Good job, keep it up ;)

Nice roof! You've got some great details up there. I wonder though if the CHASE sign should be a little bit larger? If feels kind of small to me.

I've had a little bit more time again, not much though. Anyways, I started blocking out the plaza. This plaza is surprisingly fun to model. I'm also excited for the clock; I haven't had any reason to use zbrush for a while :D

    .

The plaza will be, like I said, an option. I'm going to export one with plaza and one without.

Spa: I agree, it needs to be scaled up a little bit. I will definitely change that when I can.

Ion: Plaza version will be 6-7 x 8, without plaza will be similar to what dark said: 4x7. There will have to be some messing around, though, because it is pretty far off fitting on a lot snugly for plaza. It translates to like 6.5 tiles wide, unfortunately.

Again, another quick update. The granite on the base got messed up somehow and I'm not sure why. Anyways, I fixed it for the next render, but right now it's more just what the modeling is at the state of. Almost done blocking out the plaza, then details.

That sunken plaza adds so much to the building! :golly: I remember that someone (ardecila?) once even made a standalone plaza to add to the old Chase Tower BAT from the jurassic STEX period. While this BAT was great for its time and an accomplishment to be proud of, your new version will certainly make it obsolete so it can retire in dignity. ;)

For your ground plane, first you should turn off labels :P and then you should check your material so that it's not so reflective. Maybe make reflectivity and glossiness .1 and .1 and check the Highlights + FG only box. You'll also need to make it bigger, with a total width of over twice the height of your building.

Oh jason, dw about that. It's not my ground plane. That was my reference for the plaza that I put under the ground plane. It has no affect on my scene at all atm.

After a couple good productive hours, I have finished the clock.

Most of the details won't show up in the final render, but it looks pretty good in perspective.

That is some absolutely fantastic detail work. I look forward to seeing the plaza continue to come together.

Maybe you could release as a HD prop? Great work on the detail

I agree with the idea of an HD Prop. Fantastic detailing. Keep up the good work

Yeah, a separate clock tower on a 1x1 lot doesn't sound like a bad idea at all. For such an application, HD would actually be a good option. The last clock tower I remember was made by Glenni back in... 2006? 2007? 2008? Anyway, a long time ago.
