I'm on IE and the black bar doesn't completely show up on the top of the screen. I can't see my name or anything.

This problem showed up earlier with a user on IE7. You should be on IE8, or better Firefox 11.0

I'm on IE9

Try 2 things:

1. Do you see this broken document icon in the screenshot below? And is it blue? Try toggling it and see if it changes anything.

screenshot_107.png

2. If not, can you please post a screenshot of what you're seeing so I can debug? I'm just not seeing it on IE9.

Thanks

I don't know whether this is a site problem or not. Some users have been posting gif images from this: http://www.nobod.info/ site and they show up on firefox 11.0 as zero size.

That's good to hear, I'll be able to create a permanent fix now that I know. Thanks for reporting.

I added three lines of text to replace a line in my signature, but it turned into five lines with two lines of spaces. I tried re-editing this a couple of times but the software seems to want to put <p></p> items in instead of <br/>. This is an error and it looks ugly. Is there a way to edit signatures in HTML?

EDIT: never mind, I figured it out (I think). I am using non-paragraph breaks between the lines (Shift+RETURN)

I can't find a download button on map. It doesn't appear to be locked. And I could download files yesterday.

Agreed. It seems to have been replaced by a "Follow this file button" and no new download button has yet appeared. I think there is some STEX maintenance going on. Look for this button to show up in the frame to the right, eventually.

The SimCity 4 Exchange pages aren't loading properly. I've only experienced this problem since the site was redesigned. I get a blank white screen when clicking on the ST/Exchange tab link or categorical links in the side bar. Refreshing can help, but the problem is intermittent. I use Google Chrome browser and have Windows Vista. Thanks for your input.

Simtropolis is really fast now, it's great!

Just have a small bug I found. There are still some hyperlinks using the old ColdFusion style links. Clicking them doesn't result in a redirect to the correct page; instead, they go to a page that displays the code to redirect to the correct page.

For example, {this link}.

My New Old City Journal {on the old CJ Forums} or {on the new CJ section}.

Thanks for reporting that, it should be working correctly now.

I have noticed that when typing up forum posts, there seems to be an issue if I use formatted text (eg bold, italics, etc).

If I bold some text, and then use the backspace key to correct an error later on in my post, it jumps the cursor back to the bolded text.

I observed this with italics as well.

^I have a similar problem. Whenever I am typing with bold text and I hit enter to go to the next line, it goes to the beginning of the current line instead. Latest version of Chrome on Windows 7.

I also noticed ST had a store for a very short time.

I have the same problem mentioned by jacksunny and AIX, also using Chrome. Think it's browser specific, no problems with IE9.

Interesting! Ok, will try to see what's happening here.

I noticed the "Recent Topics" section doesn't display the name of the user who created the topic, it gives the name of the person who last replied to it. Is this supposed to happen?

Yep I have noticed a jumpy cursor problem when using the backspace key... I am another Chrome user.

A small thing I've noticed. Sometimes (not always) when editing a post, the page doesn't refresh properly.

You hit save changes, see the green loading thing come and go, but the edit window remains open and the page doesn't refresh. The edit does get sent through though; it only means you have to refresh the page manually.

Not a critical issue, just a little thing.

FF Latest, Win 7.

That happens to me sometimes, both when editing and posting.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm starting to wonder if my new topics aren't showing up, or even if my posts are invisible. I posted two, count 'em two topics and neither have any posts OR views. and

If I don't get any responses to this topic, I'm going to assume the worse. Help!

Responded to your first thread. I hardly ever go there.

Got a can't find that on the second one. Are you sure your URL is correct?

At the moment, to run the BAT I guess you need a windows partition.

Well, the second one does work on my end.

I'm glad something works, I was going to test my theory by making a random thread in the SC2013 thread.

The chat bar seems to be playing tricks on me.

One moment its here:

CrJeQ.jpg

And then it moves to a little box over here:

JqsFp.jpg

Also, I'm not sure if this was mentioned before, but how do I insert a video into my post? (Like youtube)

When the chat thing moves over like that, simply press ctrl+F5 and it will fix it, and you should have no more issues with that page, example, once it will be fixed when viewing profiles, then when you hit the STEX it moves, do the ctrl+F5, and it will fix it for the STEX.

Hope that helped :)

Inserting a video into your post in a few easy steps:

When making a post, click this button:

step1pp.png

That brings up this window:

step2s.png

Select "Media" from the dropdown menu, you should now see this:

step3pc.png

Put the url in the box and click "OK".

Ta da!

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.
