My apologies if there's already a topic about this (Mods: if you have to merge this with another topic, please tell me the link) but some of you read the Twitter posting about the interview conducted recently: http://www.rockpaper...city-interview/
which I have to say has me more worried. He dodges the question about the DLC -and the commenters there have mentioned it- and tries to cover it up with a rude and not-even-quite-true statement: "First of all you should do your research into Sim City 2000, all sorts of editions came out, I just throw that one out there" which there only came out with a few versions: there was the base game, ten scenarios for around $10-20, the SCURK (which was huge, after-market, and added a significant amount of new content), and a CD-ROM that bundled all of those together, with a few other minor features thrown in. Network Edition was entirely different.
It also looks like we won't be able to see actually the water/electricity/etc., it's all done "behind the scenes", like in CXL.
Also, Glassbox predated the idea of SimCity on it, though I don't know how early the "it was built as a multiplayer game" garbage came in.
On the upshot, they DO read all sorts of forums, so maybe there's hope that SimCity 2013 won't be an Origin-controlled, multiplayer limited environment.
