Jeroni my friend...

Well, another beautiful update.  I really like how the ploppable water turned out...I'm glad that I could help you out with that project. 19.gif  I do have one question about it though...since you are plopping water onto land...how do you get the bridge to go over it?  Every time I try to get a bridge over a gorge (sp?) I just get a road that goes down one side and up the other.

Great work...can't to see the playgrounds and cauldesacs released on the STEX!!

Keep em coming... 44.gif

OK Jeronij we need to talk this isn't fair anymore. After Sculpting Columbia River I would get home from work and systematically obliterate all my cities that I had spent months building because SCR was on another level to my horrible cities.

But you finished SCR and there was a brief period of quiet where my cities were safe from obliteration. But now you're back...

You produce Simtropia which, quite frankly, is amazing so now i will never get my super region built because i will be obliterating cities again.

Thanks very much Jeronij for ruining my life!2.gif

That pond sector is superbly done amigo, I really liked those gently descending streets to the pond. Nice place to live. I bet the ribbits-riribbits of the frogs would put me to sleep in a minute! 18.gif

Really nice flora too, I also liked that road that doubles back under the tracks!

Take care my friend!

It is hard to keep up with this CJ.  It keeps growing be leaps and bounds.

I'll just comment on the last update, jeronij.  The development around the pond is fantastic.  I especially like the boat ramp you put in.  It also gives your city a nice contast between the grid area and the go with the flow pond area.

I'm looking forward to seeing the cul-de-sacs on the STEX.  I have many areas where I can use those cul-de-sacs.

Keep up with all the good work.44.gif

Great as always!44.gif

What else is there to say? That lake is amazing. I tried myself to do a lake much like that, but mine doesn't look anywhere near as organic and natural as yours does. Your eye for detail sees at 20/15, and that's being conservative.3.gif

I await with bated breath the release of those cul-de-sacs and the snow mod. Keep up this spectacular work!29.gif

B-E-A-utiful lake/pond. The flora was over-used yet still nicely done. Can't wait to see more of the city.

Jeronij-

Beautiful work, as always...you never disappoint.

A couple of new questions come to mind with this new update:

I notice that you make most of your building lots level before zoning them, using the retaining walls mods and sloped roads to break up the contours of your city.  One of the ugly aspects (to my mind) of the original game is the way it erected sometimes huge vertical retaining walls between lots on sloped terrain.  I have read on this site that there is a mod available somewhere that keeps the slope of the lot but instead builds a slope-conforming foundation on the lot's building.  So my question is...do you use this mod at all?  Or, do you always terrace sloped ground first?  Not sure I am being clear, but hopefully you will understand.

In my efforts to still grasp your use of props, am I correct in assuming that the wonderfully natural look of your ploppable water features are...hmmm...due to individually modifying each tile (or set of tiles) around the water?  In other words, do you start with a somewhat standard ploppable water tile, then use the BAT to add flora props to each individual tile around the water feature?  I am beginning to realize that this may be exactly what you are doing and it is amazing me.  If this is what you are doing, then the level of detail you give to your projects is WAY beyond anything I would ever have thought about doing on my own.

However, that being said, I think it may be time I started to learn how to use the BAT tool, if this is what can be produced.

I am also wondering (a bit off topic here) what you do for a living when you are not creating Sim Cities.  You have the eye and love of detail that I usually only find in architects or engineers...

Keep up the great work...

The beaches look good. Can't wait till it gets released.

And once again your last update looks great. Your new area looks very peacefull. Gives me inspiration for my own cities. 1.gif

And I agree with Prophet42. The boat ramp gives it that extra touch.

I don't mean to sound stupid, but will those awesome Japanese bats work in the US version? I don't want to mess anything up. Sorry for the bother.

They will. AFAIK, there have been no conflicts with international BATTs reported.

Jeroni, that white sand beach - perfecto!
    44.gif

Bonanova looks good as well. But you mentioned Mayor Jeroni. Has there been an election or is it just a regent? Because from the region map I thought I saw the mayor something as Dom Bastian...

    Jeronij-

Thank you for the link to CD's teasers...they are amazing.  I would really like to create rivers like what he has done.  No doubt about it, I am going to have to teach myself how to create all these cool custom content things.  Any advice on where to start?
