    Thanks everyone!

So I've taken a break from Inland Steel to work on this building. There was that day a few months ago when I lost internet and decided to finish LaVaughn Biotech (the I-HT BAT) because I didn't need any reference material for it. Before I decided that, I had tried to make a new BAT from scratch and this was one of the attempts. I had the facade and the glass and limestone textures, but the first two floors looked bad, and the rest was overscaled. Yesterday and today I figured out how to fix those issues, and then modeled and textured the rest of the building.

I'll modd this building to compete with the Freytag Building (the pink 1x2), and I'll be more careful and do more testing to make sure it actually does compete, unlike the Sturgeon Building which didn't really compete with Marshall Printing (I may revisit that BAT's modding and do an update). I also have an idea for another building to compete with the Freytag Building but I'll post more about that when I'm ready to start the BAT.

What do you guys think about the potted bush arrangement on the roof? Too many? Too few? In the wrong places?

We def need more corners..this is great, an old building from scratch (imagination) is way way harder than modern so congrats..bushes are fine :)

This looks perfectly fine to me, and it is a pleasant little surprise, too! :)

I don't think there's anything wrong with the potted bushes themselves, either. However, maybe the building would benefit from something that would justify these bushes better. I mean, nobody would put them up there if it was a mere utility roof. The presence of these potted plants indicates some kind of use, at least for an occasional cigarette break of the employees. Therefore, a bench or two, a stand-up table, and/or a standalone ashtray might be an option.

I agree with T wrecks, benches on the roof was the first thing that came to my mind. It looks excellent though, and I hope it really will decrease the number of growing Freytag buildings! :golly:

Looks great, and I'll also agree with T Wrecks. May I also say thank you for LaVaughn Biotech, It's a great addition to the IHT available for this game, it also doubles as offices in the right situation I find.

    Thanks guys. :)

The building is now exported, day and night, and modded. I'm going to be testing this one for longer than usual to make sure that it fulfills its role as a competitor to the Freytag Building (on corner lots at least).

I've added benches to the roof, added a fire escape and some trash cans to the alley, fiddled with the window frames a little, worked on the ground floor glass (it's still not amazing but it's better than before), and did the nitelites.

Damn fine night lights Jason. Another good addition to the small corner buildings. I'll gladly use it!

Nicely done! Little 1x2s are always welcome and a good corner is always appreciated.

Lovely. Nice to see an ingame shot, this means the lapse of time I have to wait for it is smaller.

That bit of roof junk on the elevator core alone is a treat!
