    ok guys it's uploaded!  :)

There are 4x6 and 6x4 growables and a college version.

For the growable versions, since it's so easy to do with PIMX, I added some non-english language compatibility.  All I have to do for the name of the building is right click and paste into a text box.  So depending on which language version of SC4 you have, a different name will show up ("Kerrytown Apartments" translated into your language).

Xyloxadoria provided the Portuguese and Spanish translations,

Glenni provided the Norwegian and Danish translations,

and MandelSoft provided the Dutch, German, and French translations.  (thanks guys!)

Let me know if this is something I should do more of in the future.  :)

Nice work Jason. I really like this one. We really don't have many buildings like it, especially in a midrise size, and yet, it's not an uncommon style in real life. It fills a nice niche.

    Hello Jason...

popping to say I like the Kerrytown college/apartments... the sims like the college especially...

however I am unable to locate the apartments via the 'buggi cheat' under what name can I find 'em... good luck with the trixies as I chose your 'inland steel' for a nomination...

THX for the 2012 bats you and teh rest of teh BSP/ABBT teams made...

    Thanks everyone!  :)

Jack:  Thanks I appreciate your nomination.  :)  You can find the apartments as "Jasoncw - Kerrytown Apartments (R$$7_6x4)(R$$7_4x6)" or something like that.  And then after you select that you can choose between the two lot sizes.

Yeah, with Jason's stuff it's always sometrhing with "Jasoncw - [bUILDING NAME]". :)

In fact, it's usually either this, or the actual building name, or the team prefix first.

So I made that mirrored glass material in Reddonquixote's thread and I couldn't let it go to waste...

    6hMxNOf.jpg

Click on it to make it fullsize.  :)

I got a lot done on it.  This will be uploaded in March (one BAT a month!  ;) )

The red/brown stuff will be granite later on.

The geometry of the base isn't final yet, especially around the entrance.

The trees' color will be tweaked later.

And I haven't started on the ground plane yet.  So far it's still the same screenshot as what I posted in Reddonquixote's thread.

    It will be a 6x4.  :)

    I see the picture.

I think "Wow, great - so he put that example to good use. Reminds me of cockatoo's Comalco Place".

    I see your post.

Sweet looking! I like the glass.

The shape of the building is also very nice.

The glass is uber cool. It 's starting to look like 2013 is going to be an awesome year for BATs.

Thank you, I figured that was what he meant but I wasn't sure.  :)

    A quick update!  :)

I started work on the ground plane but it still needs work.  I got the roads and pavers in, and I also figured out the angle something needs to be on the ground plane in order for it to reflect straight up and down on the facade (see how the Ford Building and Knoll Building are not rotated).  Obviously there shouldn't be such obvious buildings, but knowing this angle will hopefully be helpful for making generic abstract shapes that when reflected appear vaguely like 3d objects and not a flat ground plane.

The main thing I did was make the red granite pavers.  I haven't done the main entrance yet.

And then I worked a bit on the trees.

But there's still plenty to do on all of these things.  :)

Click on it to make it full size.  :)
