I love looking at these threads.  I've gotten great inspiration from looking at others' layouts.

Here's an older suburban area of mine.  It's technically not suburban (pretty close to the downtown area) but it's full of R$$$ housing so those living here definitely live like suburbanites.

The following pics are as old as the first one.  The passenger train running through ithe neighborhood probably ruins the typical American suburban image, but otherwise the housing is typically suburban.

I was trying to pull off the "older suburb" look with this one; the street layout is griddy but the housing stock looks quite similar.

Well, I guess I'll post another picture. Another "urban suburb" - I try to base these on the Los Angeles region.

Great 'burbs everyone, I like your mosaic Murdock813, the layout of the street is one of the best ever seen in a suburbs, looks quite realistic !

thank you, art128. But this Lay-out often causes serious traffic jams, as the sims have the bad habit to use only one of the links to the main arteries clogging it badly...

Suburbs are looking great everyone! I like how theres so much possibility to make so many different types of good looking suburbs, this thread never bores me!

I'll put in a photo of mine, I usually have farms around my suburbs:

Mattb325's latest creations have made playing low-density residential suburbs worthwhile.  I have a couple screenshots from Kensington, which some of Mattb325's houses have appeared:

Mattb325's houses are available only from the BSC Exchange, btw.

How did you get those golf courses seperated between houses?

Any links for it?

Yeah. Oh I get it, but how did you get sand, light grass colors and stuff. There's must be a way to make like that. How?

My city, 'Baavool' (funny name?) has finally unlocked golf park or country golf course but they're crammed together into like 15 x 15. But I was just wondering how you did to seperate them and place them in random areas. Is there any mod to do this?

EDIT:

And also, how do you avoid houses turning from mansions (R$$$ or R$$) into some apartments or highrises because

I want to make them stay like way they are. Could you please give me some links if they've some mods for it.

1. for the golf coarse lots search 'municipal golf coarse v3'

2. for the white sand beach search "Beach Modd" and when youre done extracting the zip file move the modd you want to your plugins folder
