@Thin White Duke I like the anti grid. Yes trees would be good haha, I see plenty of spots for beautiful mmp parks, along the river near the road bridge. where does that highway  tunnel go? Looking forward to the greener version

Here is a little corner suburb

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

@tankmank Looking good, love the blend of Western and Japanese houses and I'm trying to figure out how you lotted those diagonal houses.
On a second look I just realized its a 3 by 3 lot, the trees covered up the curved driveway. I use those houses a lot but not the larger lots, really should though.

Some real, very young suburban/rural sprawl on the outskirts of a more gridded city tile. First attempt at anti-grid, need to do a better job with tree cover, but pretty happy with a first go.

Oh yes, forgive the black lines marking out the gridlines, it is apparently a mac thing and I cannot get rid of them at all. Well, apart from buy myself a PC that is ;)

"We live in a era where our cities are armed with steel and concrete. Computers and electronics barricade our minds. It doesn’t change the fact that there exists a lot of strange phenomena, bizzare beyond reason or logic. Most folks just don’t see them, that’s because we cling to order to any tiny happiness that comes our way and we bust our humps to blind ourselves with our desires and our pleasures. There’s a world of darkness out there. Beyond time or space. A world filled with evil that is undeniably real and in that world there are things that run wild!”

Does this mean you play Sim City 4 again? :O

NO!

These are highlights from cities I built last year. All I have done is added some photoshop sparkle to them.

Now I've got three highlight entries to finish. After that there is the finale for my CJ. Then that's it.

No more- thank God!

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

Whoa. Pro tip: don't forget your house number, or you're screwed. *

Now this is repetition done right, and a good shot at suburban sprawl. Depressing but realistic and well done - my compliments, @redfox85!

@T Wrecks The sprawl I have planned is enormous - I went with 1x1 lots to cram as much as I can over multiple large tiles.  About every third Ave interection has the same format: 2x Food & Gas, 1 Grocery store, 1 Strip Mall and 0/1 other.

That sounds depressing indeed (poor Sims!) - I'd sure like to see a picture when you're done! *:D

@T Wrecks The map is divided in half by a large bay, and I divided the city into atleast 13 phases.... with the low density R $$ taking 6 phases across "3 time periods". This is phase 1 - I'll post an update once I get phase 1 & 2 done. I'll also note I have 4 house types divided across the 4 buidling styles for this time period I've dubbed post-war. I've removed all other low density r$$ and blocked maxis content to have ultimate control. To prevent the houses from overgrowing the others I manually adjust the growth stages and grow each style one a time.

Pretty much the nicest-looking suburban neighborhood in my region so far. It's all middle class, and I made it so by taxing the rich sims into oblivion. The 4-lane avenue has just enough capacity to handle all the traffic from the houses with little-to-no congestion. If it had mansions, then it would probably look a whole lot worse.
