I was in downtown Phoenix earlier today and Comic-Con was there at the convention center. Comic-Con people are entertaining to say the least. I think deep down inside, I am one of them, based upon my love of games, and I am slightly terrified. But then again, I can see myself dressing up in a Dovakhiin costume, going to Comic-Con.

So when do you think the USA will default or experience hyperinflation? Glen Beck has been spouting out about it for years, Fox News for almost as long and now CNN is talking about it so you know it is true.

Just because pundits from more than one major news outlet predict the same doom and gloom doesn't mean it's true. While the two sources in question may carry somewhat of a different political slant, the reality is that they are all in the same exact game together: getting ratings and making money. And sensationalism sells.

If you seek the truth, you have to turn off the TV and do a lot of research yourself. No major media outlet will provide you with the honest truth since honest truth isn't profitable.

That the US will end up defaulting is not an implausible scenario but it isn't going to happen tomorrow. We still have too much clout worldwide for the people we owe money to to call us up on it. But, give it another couple decades, China develops their own middle class and no longer needs us to sell their goods to, and then we have a problem.
