I have a smart phone, ipod and a macbook, i'm lacking a good desktop PC, that is why I don't have a CJ out yet. Waiting to post a CJ when I get a new PC

I am signed up with AT&T U-verse and to be honest, it isn't too bad. It isn't as bad as having both cable and broadband to worry about but I don't get many channels; not even Comedy Central, TruTV, Spike or FOX

I'm pretty excited about the transit of Venus tomorrow. The next one's not until 2117, and chances are good I won't be around for that one.

Transits of Mercury are more common, but harder to see, Mercury being smaller and closer to the sun.

If you want a very rare transit, there's always the transit of Uranus from Neptune. The next one of those will be in October 38,172.

Will it even be visible to us here in the land up over? If it's during the day for you it's almost certainly at night for us.

You can check here. Some of it, at least, will be visible in North America and Europe, although you'll need to be pretty far north to see it all (Alaska, far north Canada, top half of Norway).

If you happen to be in Iceland, you'll be able to see the start and end of the transit, but not the middle. The sun sets for that part.

We had a solar eclipse just a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't get a clear image but I managed to see it happen with a mirror reflecting against a wall.
