I usually avoid thinking about it. When I do I struggle to not just sit in a corner and lose faith in humanity...

Barely, but I've held that sentiment for a very long time. We're at a point where the current decisions being made by society will either lift my hopes slightly or, on the other hand, make me loose any faith in the human race. Guess that's what I get for being a pessimist!

Do you deem yourself an optimist or a pessimist?

I'd like to think I'm optimistic about my own future, but I'm pretty pessimistic about humanity in general.  I'm trying not to be, but our biggest stars and the people we hold up as being "successes" are almost always the worst possible examples of ourselves that we can find.  We even have a saying about it: "Don't/Never meet your heroes."

 

Have you ever met one of your heroes?  If so, how'd it go?  If not, do you want to risk it?

This lacks the definition of "hero". A hero does not have to be famous for me. Just an ordinary person who did somethinng good. If I want to meet them depends on what they did.

no. The first part of education I started to enjoy is university. Because I finally was able to learn what I want, not what the state wants me to.

What do you think about comics or old school cartoons that get turned into (3D) movies like Marvel comics or Transformers or stuff like that?

Eh. Other than the recent Batman trilogy I haven't really followed or cared about the others. I liked the Batman ones for their darkness, and while they were definitely different from the original comics, I thought it was a very good series of movies in it's own way. Most of the Marvel movies don't interest me just as much as their comics don't, and I'm really not familiar with the Transformers comics - which doesn't matter anyway because I have a "strong dislike" for the director of the Transformer movies and thus have no desire to see them (I've been forced to watch all 4 at various points).

What do you think about old cartoons (like the classic Winnie The Pooh stuff for example) being turned into 3D computer animated movies or TV shows?

I'm not a huge fan.  That Yogi the Bear one looked SUPER creepy, and I could not make it more than a few minutes into that CGI Tin Tin movie, those characters looked like they were eating my soul through the TV screen when we tried it.  Yikes.

I'm afraid of heights, even standing on a chair vertigos me out.  Existentially, I'm rather afraid of dying and finding out that it really WAS all for nothing.

I think spiders are a great benefit to the planet by helping keep the insect population at bay (and I'm not scared of them).

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can, spins a web, any size, catches thieves, just like flies, look ouuuuuuuuuuuuuut, here comes the Spider-Maaaaaan.

 

I love spiders.  They eat other bugs and hey, SPIDER-MAN!

 

EDIT: Aw, nuts, didn't see the new page.  Anyways, most bugs kinda freak me out, which is part of the reason I like spiders, because they eat other bugs.  Tanuki are weird.  I dislike monkeys, but they don't scare me.
