This isn't anything too fancy like some of you guys have.  This is my first "serious" region and its still very young (44 years) and progressing at a normal life rate.  This is the newest interchange i'm trying to develope at the southern tip of the island where the cbd will be eventually.  I'm looking for tips if anyone has any, also pardon my pic i tried doing a mosaic and i forgot to turn the day transitioning off while i did it.

p.s.  this interchange is actually still under major construction so there isn't too much eye candy yet.  i'm trying to finish my road layout before i decide what i'm going to add where.  it functions as is now and with commercial development (although i dont think i wanna put commercial there since it might add to much congestion later) built on the ramps it really showed potential (about 4-5k people traveled through it with ease going to work there and up north).

and without further ado

CraigKingOfIreland: Looks very nice. It's a cloverstack variant with left exits.

aking88: Very attractive interchanges. Not the most efficient, but still very asthetic.

flyinbird93: The tunnel looks good. The interchange is basically good for traffic flow.

I have 3 of mine to show.

Here is a cloverstack variant on SR-75, inspired by CraigKingOfIreland's interchange:

74566572rw2.jpg

A roundabout terminus, also on SR-75:

58643295ik1.jpg

And a simple parclo, this one on a tollway. Note how all traffic is funneled into one set of tollgates:

That's all.

Please post comments and/or suggestions.

Patricius Maximus: Nice isn't it. I've been watching the real one being built for months now. It's especially interesting when they're upgrading it from a roundabout on Ireland's busiest motorway, still having tens of thousands of cars go through it each day 9.gif

    Nice work everyone!

PM:  I see you are putting those signs to good use!

Anyways, a new video from me.  More UDI Fun!

Its not my best work, but whatever.  It shows a number of interchanges along a RHW.

A Youtube video box should appear below.  If you can't see it or are having problems, follow the link below it.  Make sure you turn up your speakers!

For best quality playback, click the link and select "watch in high quality" below the video box.

    Best,

I have 2 more to show.

    Here's a avenue-avenue trumpet in West Lakeview:

    56138188fn4.jpg

And here is a rail-elevated rail interchange. Mass transit interchanges are rather uncommon in my regions, but I'm working to change that:

Here's one made with help from Patricius Maximus and Haljackey:

    IntersectionVeryDone.jpg

    It's a volleyball Variant with an Eight-Lane RHW crossing a Four-Lane.

Thanks again to PM and Haljackey.

here are a few from my newest city in my newest region.  bear with the grid, the city is early in development.

    standard road interchange

rhw-highway interchange.  this is the best/most eye-pleasing design i could come up with

avenue interchange with the rhw in the center of the future university area

Katcilla: It looks pretty nice. A collector express transfer here and there and it'll be a great system.

    jutrock: 1) A nice parclo.

    2) You've got the volleyball interchage function down, but it could use some cosmetic improvements. For one, the elevated highway ramps are too large. Use some straight ramps, under the perpindicular tab cycle. Secondly, the MIS ramps should be OWR's to improve symmetry.

    3) Good parclo. According to my classification (spelled out a couple pages back) it is a C32.

    4) You do a good job on your interchanges, but between them there's a lot of weaving. Try some bridges to eliminate it. For examples, visit my own Patrician Showcase.

    5) Another good parclo. Well done.

I've built, in a newer city, ahead of development, a paperclip interchange. Kurumi.com has a good page on them. They are good for high-capacity linkups between a freeway and parallel road.

    47138753pk3.jpg

I've also built a new sloped cloverstack in the same tile:

    76409831ud2.jpg

That's all from me for now.

Also, I've noticed that this thread has become somewhat inactive.

Are there no newcomers left that want to build freeways? If you like an interchange and would like to show it, show it here. After all, it's a "Show Us Your" thread.

Come on, show us! You'll be sure to recieve suggestions as to improvement and compliments about traffic on it.

Patricius Maximus: Nice work on those interchanges. I really love the second one, I like the sloping of it the most.

I took a huge break from RHW, but Oil Island needs RHW so I will be back with some interchanges soon...

I'm back (PS: Sorry about the grid.) 2.gif

This is a highway spur that will be in Oil Island but there is no development (yet.).

This is a Trumpet in terchanged that got allitle crazy. 3.gif

This is it, small eh?? Well it's a spur.

flyinbird93: 1) Pretty good, but I'd remove a lot of that weaving.

    2) Some weaving, but it looks fundamentally good.

    3) Wow! That RHW is crazy, and some portions are unnecessary. In your loop, it's good, but there's room for improvement.

un1:  1) I'd reccomend a classic trumpet instead of that one. But it looks good asthetically.

    2) Good double diamond. I like the extra MIS sections.

    3) Bizzare. I'd end it with a roundabout, but it is unique.

Overall it's a good spur. I look forward to seeing development late September.

These are from a new ring road surrounding Dioxia, recently featured in the Patrician Showcase.

    Here's junction 1, a three-quarter three-level stacked roundabout (that's a tongue twister 25.gif).

    85556172vn3.jpg

Junction 4, a volleyball interchange. Note the frontage roads:

    30137726xp1.jpg

That's all I'm going to showcase here.

The next poster will be the 1000th. Who shall it be?

Geesh you guys are churning out some awesome interchanges!

    Personal comments:

flyinbird93: Nice job, it looks like your network is taking shape!

un1:  Interesting display!  I suggest you use the RHW curves to make your loop ramps longer and more realistic!

Patricius Maximus: Already saw it in your showcase, but I'll say it again:  Nice work!

pagenotfound: Wow, thats massive!  I like how you are no longer using those tight 90 degree turns!

doorknob60: Neat!  I like the use of the Old-school RHW!  You know there's a new version out, right?

I'll have some new content to show sometime soon....

And this thread has achieved 1,000 posts?  Wow!  This marks 2 of my threads that surpassed 1,000 in the same week (the other being The Greater Terran Region, my City Journal).

As I always say, Keep Showing Us Your Interchanges!

Yeah, I made that with the old RHW, and I have no reason to remake it with the new, I use the new RHW with the v13 compatability files 4.gif BTW I meant to say this earlier, but I forgot. I love all the pictures on here, they're entertaining when I'm bored and they give me ideas for my own cities 9.gif

EDIT: Where's everyone get the black RHW textures, I have the v20 RHW, but it's still gray, I know I've seen a download of it before, I just don't remember where 3.gif

Sweet interchanges! doorknob, how do you get your avenues to get that base texture? Mine lose their texture when not touching lots, and the median gets annoying stuff I don't want on there...

Doorknob: You can find the black RHW textures over at SC4D. I am not sure if they are on STEX though.

If you're talking about the avenue in the bottom left, it's touching commercial buildings, but it's not shown in the picture, does that help? Or were you talking about something else?

doorknob: Sorry about me being unclear - yes, that does answer part of the question. But I noticed all your avenues also have the same type of texture (including the grey median); is there a way to edit the avenues to make them do that?

AndCar: Nice, but it looks kinda confusing (and overkill IMO), but it's sweet 9.gif
