I noticed to used the name Defacto, lol. I too have used that name for a few of my towns. I thought I just made it up, have you heard it before?

~Update 8~ Because I am starting to near the boundries of my region I started giving expansion a thought. This is what I came up with... Valley City is in the northwest coridor obviously. I was thinking of adding a smaller city in the north east corner where the rivers meet, and then a mega city down at the bay linking the region together. Toss some country side and sprawl in here and there between cities. Pretty excited, probably won't work on the large region size all the time, and break it down and slowly expand it as i build, but this is the master size I'll eventually get two

You got some rockin images. I really liked the ports, the water looked almost real! I love your region view of the farm lands too, makes me with I could pay you to come lay out my fields, lol.

Hello again everyone, I had a sweet post all done, but then my internet crashed when i hit preview and poof gone, so heres the cliff notes version sorry @Spidey - Thanks! That means a lot, I try hard to leave space but it is easy to cram it all close together. ~Update 7~ And a new map for those of you interested, this one now includes a listing of known highway listings in the area. Its the end of the school year, and baseball is winding down. Clay County Community College (CCCC) has made it to the world series of Division II League. It has brought a lot of attention and visitors to East Valley City. Doing well late in the 7th IN stretch, it looks like they could bring home the trophy! Victory! Clay County PD had a heck of a time controlling the crowdes back on campus across the river all night. Well, till next time. And remember, some pics can be enlarged by right clicking them and selecting "view image"

Hello Hello!, made some adjustments to the first post for easier navigating. So at the end I'll have some pics i want to archive from the first post. Anyways, HI EVERYONE! I made a little picture to illistrate what I'd show today. Our population is 38k away from 1.1mil! I'm estimating a region total of ~1.5million when its filled. @Graham - I so know what you were talkiing about. It was my first airport to build, I had been debating going back and making it smaller for awhile. If you look at the latest region shot you'll see it has been vastly improved imo. Thanks for respawnding! Ok, first things first, how do you like the new banner? Pretty cool huh? Well, here is a similar image in sat view. Oh, Quick region view map... Now, time to get the list out... Well, I already talked about the population nearing 1.1mil; how exciting, and following normal growth well. What next then? Well, West Valley City has been approved as the first location outside of downtown to recieve a permit for building over 8 stories! This is big news, it really shows how this suburb has sprawled. Here is a site of the new building after construction was complete. When later asked how the larger building has impacted traffic in the area, Mayor Defacto respawnded with, "we feel we have sufficient infrastructure to handle the many jobs this project has brought." Our investigations seemed to agree, lets check it out. Next, we hop back on the highway and drive clear across town to the Upper East-side for a special celebration. At Upper fields East a party is celebrating urban sprawl! What? Urban sprawl--why would they celebrate that... Because! The belt is full, and urban sprawl has done it again. Now the conquest of extending urban life beyond the snug belt highway. ~Archive~ First Post Pics Valley/Vision City Map over view; some of the highway to the East isn't shown because of RHM.

Happy 1 Million+ Sorry for the long delay on an update, been super busy, game got a bug and I lost a couple weeks work on one of my zones. Anyway, I know its not a lot, but it shows some of the expansion I've done--Go Go 1 MILLION!--as well as my new map mod which allowed me to get my region map view a little closer to Google style :-D @Hamster - No, the path finder still counts the same # of tiles, for example count left then count right. It's mostly just to add some variety to the structure of the city, purely cosmetic for my, and maybe even your, benefit. @jacq - Hello again Thanks Anyway, without further ado, here is my new region view, pending further adjustments to my mod. till next time...

yeah, I lost all my files in a crash before and some other life changes. Now I just pop on and toy around with this region when I find time. It's really been fun, here is another little snap shot for you all... Midtown Plaza & Union Station

Carspen Ridge sitting high in the South West end of the downtown loop. Your morning Traffic report, drivers commuting from West Side Valley City should expect some delays but traffic is flowing relatively smooth throughout downtown.
