Ok, been busy since last post and have not been able to get on here to post a picture of my Four-level Stack Interchange.

Stackinterchange.png

In my opinion, maybe not as attractive as McDuell's from previous page. I created this before those pictures were posted and will probably reduce depth of the tunnels as metioned in a previous post and adjust the center over passes to allow the use of addtional 'wide curves' for a smoother look.

Let me know what you think?

Wow! Got some hardcore interchanges goin' on in here. :thumb:

I was just messing with the diagonal pieces. They are finicky, let me tell ya.

Hmm looks good Zimmie, but I would do something about that WB to SB ramp. That el-MIS on-slope transition is not needed.

    Something like this:

Agreed. I thought of that after. Better? This is about as tight a loop as my current knowledge allows though. But I didn't realize that I could just stick that curve MIS piece right in there under the overpass, that was cool. I don't know how alot of you guys get those nice smooth tight little loops, beyond me... still learning.

I think I will try the same thing next but raise the overpass instead of digging down. Probably look better. I wanna also try doing the same but replacing all the MIS with Rhw-4

For those who have been following this thread closely, you may remember me posting this interchange:

    interchange4.png

It was based off this interchange in my hometown.

So, I decided to redo it, and made V2 more accurate of the real thing(Aka used 6C for Hwy 99), and added smooth curves.

(Sorry the graphics look weird-still experimenting with my visual settings)

I swear I thought I had posted this somewhere, but i suppose not. Anywho... Here you go.

The reason for the loop around on the eastbound exit ramp is because of the Hospital. The hospital, being a public service building, was exempt from Imminent Domain laws. The construction of the South Illium Bay Tollway was recently completed, connecting Eastbridge to Fariday, and allowed travelers in the south side of the Capitol Province to bypass Illium City completely when driving along the coast, eliminating congestion along the IH-75 corridor through Illium City. So far, after the opening of the SIBT, congestion along IH-75 has dropped nearly 25% during peak hours. :)

Double Post but the thread was dead for a while...

Here is a large T-Loop Interchange with a continuing road North. Also a rather smooth Partial-Y (tut going on the RHW Guide hopefully tomorrow)

BTW Nam team will the white borders around certain puzzle pieces be removed or is that impossible. I remember reading about them somewhere...

I'm planning to use this baby for my airport. Direct connection between the two terminals is not really necessary, so I did not include a continuing road from east to west.

I decided to give my new airport 4 terminals, so I added another interchange and modified my last one a bit, to fit the new interchange. This is the result:

So this interchange from Downtown Fresno looks easy to replicate in SC4, but in reality it wasn't for me. In particular the cloverleaf from Tulare St. to 41 NB was a big hassle due to slope issues(I had to redraw it 7 times), but I made it look the best I could do. Other than that, I am pleased with this interchange. What do you all think?

I agree, looks pretty spot-on to me too with what's available to work with. Too bad Maxis didn't put curved overpasses into that game huh?

I am not sure if I am completely happy with the look of this one, it is my attempt to recreate the First Interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.

After comparing with the original interchange, I must say you have done remarkably well. "

I like seeing RL-replications especially and I hope there will be more.

Thanks! And I've got more coming...

First I have a redone version of the Cloverstack I posted a few pages back. Unlike that one, this one takes up slightly more space because of the loop ramps shove the outer ramps outward by several tiles.

    cloverstack2.jpg

Next, I have two more interchanges from the Fresno Metropolitan Area that I have replicated in SC4.

Click on the images to see a google maps view of the original interchange.

Slope wasn't as bad an issue on this one but still gave me some issues on the cloverramp.

    fresno3.jpg

and who ever said diagonalxorthogonal interchanges with RHW were impossible?

@jdenm8: My goodness! That looks amazing!

So, here's the last interchange from the Fresno Metropolitan Area I am recreating. I won't be recreating all the other interchanges because either a)Too complex or b)generic; here in Fresno we don't have that many unique highway interchanges, and what I showed are the only ones.

So, here's the newest one. Once again click to see a google maps view of the real thing. Note that I had to use OWR due to RHW limitations.

    Nice work, NTM. :)

I can't remember if I shared this one here, but here is a new interchange in Holt District which hasn't been shown in my CJ yet. It will be once it has trees/ponds/lights/signs, etc. No accel/deccel lanes as of now. I also used left-hand entrances in this interchange, something I don't often do.
