Here is an interchange which i thought of one day....

HighCapacityStack.jpg

It's a high - capacity interchange for 2 dual RHW 4 highways. I think it's compact and looks good as well. I believe it's a stack, but i can't be sure - I'm not an interchange buff like some of you guys...

Here it is with DrawPaths

HCSDrawpaths.jpg

A zoomed out view of the entire interchange.

HCSZoomedout.jpg

As you can see, it is not in an actual city, just a 'doodle pad' city of mine. But from now on, it will be in most of my urban cities.

And here it is with some traffic generators and eyecandy.

HCSwithtrafficandeyecandy.jpg

Anyone is welcome to use this in their city journal, just please give me some credit face-icon-small-smile.gif

I hope this hasn't been done before, but if it has, i didn't copy it.

enjoy.

Yes, it is a stack. Complete with collector lanes. Well done.

kj3400: I look forward to seeing the thing completed.

I needed a compact cloverleaf, and this is the smallest I could manage:

I'm very sorry about the size... Photobucket is giving me some trouble for the thumbnail links26.gif

Great interchanges! Here's my contribution: A trumpet inspired by the many posted here already. Not necessarily creative, but simple and clean. (You should have seen my first try, it was twice the size) Large-ish-Nov17131237180726.pngLarge-ish-Nov17131237180769.png

Great interchanges everybody! I'm curious about one thing though. I noticed that in a lot of tutorials and good cities, a lot of people put two highways side by side and rail lines and so forth, can anyone tell me why that is?

legoman786: Little cloverleaf, big image. Please resize it to 800 x 600 so we can actually read these forums.

I have a new interchange I thought belonged here -- a left-ramped central roundabout interchange:

What do you think? I had a tricky situation here, with a lot of bridges, curves, and elevated avenues. This is the highest capacity and most compact interchange avaliable.

The developed area will be in the next update of the Patrician Showcase.

Keep showing us your transportation creations!

Well, I have dissected Will_Colorado's interchange, and got this:

interchangelarge.jpg

It is a very unique interchange. I may even use it in some of my cities.

Nice work everyone.

-> Will_Colorado That is one huge interchange and I can only agree with Patricius, it´s unique, great work 44.gif

-> De Ja Vu Very nice interchange but how about adding an off-ramp for those coming from the east, going north ?

-> Shadow_Assassin I really like the diagonal overpass. Did you use the "tram in avenue" trick ?

Here is something I came up with, being inspired by Patricius roundabout interchange.

Maybe mine is not entirely realistic, but hey it´s functional 9.gif

I've created two "Paperclip" interchanges on Sim City 4...

First, one with a Sunken Highway:

PaperclipInterchangeSunken.jpg

Then one with a RWH:

PaperclipInterchangeRWH.jpg

Does anyone have feedback about these highway interchanges? I'm open to suggestions.
