Definitely a gem. I just love the diversity and inclusion of water into the CBD.  Candy for the eyes!

I am curious; in picture 1 of your second montage (without makeup) what boardwalks/marinas are you using? They look good!

A really realistic and beautiful looking city. Very good. :)

And i like the unaltered pictures much more, too.

I prefer that kind of downtown way more over a sea of skyscrapers, looks very pleasing to the eye :)
Keep up the good work!

I present my Eastern European downtown, I hope it is not so bad.

That's pretty good, to me even one of the best entries in this thread so far. :thumb:

@OmniBLACK, yes definately!  :)   What's been done looks great though!

And here is the CBD, for a new city I've been working on, and I'm trying to make a it lot more realistic, and less Maxisy than my other cities.  How am I doing?

Another one by me. All buildings (except one :] ) are plopped, admittedly. My first attempt to mix up different old town building plugin sets. Hope you like it.

Yes, I do. :) However, looking at this picture I think we could use a better texture for those cobblestone pedmalls. :uhm: Is it possible to use a texture family, I wonder? I know it's possible for lots, but not sure about pedmalls.

EDIT

@ Mista_Fuzz: I'd say that's a considerable improvement! :golly: There are really nice details to be discovered. Some single-family homes still need to be overgrown by something bigger, and you have an insurance problem of the repetitive kind near the centre of the screenshot. :P Apart from that, no objections. :thumb:

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Great stuff JP Schriefer, great stuff. The use of 3-lane OWR in opposing directions is superbly executed.

Here's one of the CBDs I made. :)

There's my university I made --- to the left of the Bird's Nest.

k1qbrJn.png

Yeah, I'm more focused on making buildings than just well.......

QA8Ruxs.png

At Night......

MCZVTJs.png

That's all! :D

PS: I need more buildings to download...... Some of my stuff becomes repetitive even with some CAM buildings I have.

This is not the main business district in the Greater Soderstrom Region (a region I am developing), but I guess this qualifies.

Of course, the name "Tilnor" comes from the two roads intersecting at the bottom center, Tildon Avenue and Nordstrom Avenue.  North is to the left, along Tildon Avenue.

Love the colors and the Birds Nest placement! I'd love to see the development wrap around to the vacant portions so it doesn't look like the development transitions from dense to desolate rather quickly...

Yeah, I might..... but doing so will have risk because my game mostly crashes especially when reaching a 1000000 population. Also, I have CAM and dozens of plugins (2.17 GB more than haljackey).

I hear you there! I had the same problem with my city Vista Del Mar; game clock would slow and stop, and then buildings would abandon, so I had to pull the airport content out and proceed with making nearly 90% of the buildings in the city historical to get it back.  How many gigs of content do you have?

I don't have problems with the game clock since I have a good PC, but the problem is the game itself crashing for no reason just like what happens to haljackey sometimes, but rarely the game crashes as well while saving the game which is annoying... I have 6.25 GB content (2.25 GB more than haljackey's).

P.S. THEY SHOULD HAVE UPDATED THE GAME THAT PREVENTS GAME CRASHING BEFORE THEY'VE DONE SIMCITY 2013 AND BEING DISBANDED!!

Wow! that is a ton of content! lol.  I wonder if the crashing is still related to that fact that the game is coded to utilize one processor core, I've heard the argument that no matter how good your pc specs are is the game still only utilizes (with stability) one core.
