  1. Show us your Downtown!

@OmniBLACK, yes definately! What's been done looks great though! And here is the CBD, for a new city I've been working on, and I'm trying to make a it lot more realistic, and less Maxisy than my other cities. How am I doing?
  2. RHW over Avenue overpass

OK, a starter is definitely the problem, I'll try one of your solutions Compdude787, and thanks so much for the help guys!
  3. RHW over Avenue overpass

Height transitions. Sorry for the late response, and thanks for the help!
  4. RHW over Avenue overpass

Yes I did, all it says is unsuitable area to build network.
  5. RHW over Avenue overpass

I'm sorry if this has already been posted but, I couldn't find anything about it through a Google search or otherwise. I'm trying to build an elevated RHW-4 in my city, but I can't figure out where the RHW overpasses are. I can only find for example Avenue over RHW-4 but no RHW-4 over Avenue. Here is a screenshot to better explain what I'm doing: Any help is appreciated, Thanks!
  6. BAT4Max v.5

Nope, it's the DVD version, 100% sure. I have the BAT Tool on another computer though so somewhere between that computer, and my new one my disk got busted.
  7. Show us What you're Working On

Finally starting my first BAT! I'm modelling this building from my city: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major-General_George_R_Pearkes_Building And here is what I have in Blender so far:
  8. BAT4Max v.5

OK, so for some reason the normal BAT tool has decided that I don't have SimCity on my computer even though I have the normal dvd version and it's installed in the right location. Does this mean that bat4max won't work?
  9. Show us your Downtown!

OK, well I checked it out and those data files are definitely missing from my simcity since they won't even show up when I select them as props using the maxis buildings as props thingy.
  10. Show us your Downtown!

If these do really appear on Maxis buildings: Have you tried downloading and installing the "Buildings as Props"? (I've only been able to find a link to the German homepage, the download link is at the bottom of the page.) http://kurier.simcityplaza.de/details.php?file=305 Thats a good idea! Then I can just open up le and replace the faulty building with a blank one, and use the prop as the main building. I'm afraid that won't work. Unless you have actually moved the models from the game, it's not the maxis houses that are causing your problems. The brown boxes come from missing models. Its only on a few maxis buildings though.. Oh well, I'll get that mod that turn the brown boxes into red and green thingies and see exactly what part of the lot it is.

OK, so I fixed up my downtown a lot! Still not perfect but I touched on a bunch of the issues you guys mentioned. I also added a big area off to the side by flattening a hill. Still haven't fixed the brown boxes on maxis buildings though I may have to buy the game again Edit: just realized a jave two Safeco towers, fixing that now!
  13. So, I'm using Jeronij's residential walls and they work perfectly for straight sections, but when I try and put them on a diagonal this happens: And I know that those diagonal sections are supposed to "bend" horizontally so that the wall textures line up, but mine seem to "bend" vertically. And in some of my other cities it does do that, so is there any simple fix? Thanks in advance! Mista Fuzz
  14. University of Passau | An intro to University Island

I'm liking how you used the centre block of our parliament buildings in Canada as a university building! It fits right in.
  15. city has run out of demand?!?

OK,so here is an interesting point that is more of a cheat that anything. I found that in a lot of my cities(that were experiencing negative demand) that if I plopped a residential building (lotplop using the extra cheats dll) in the neighborhood where I wanted them to grow, that the demand would magically increase and people would move in! I could then buldoze the plopped building.
