An historical post, probably one of the best downtown's ever on SC4 honestly.

Everything, from realism, from layout, from photoshop skills, from colour, from the other images, show a tremendous work. Just stupendic amazing!

Just to be a douchebag, i will add a criticism: where are the trains? xD

Just to be a douchebag, because i now that there are metro systems xD

For real, amazing, super congratulations, this post made my day and inspired me to play :)

The use of FAR, the use of trees as natural parks, well, i just can't give you enough, its just very good.

@weixc812 definitely, the best use of maxis highways I've seen so far: with an enormously limited tool, you have archieved an unprecedented level of realism.

Now, about all the other work, it is equally impressive and great (particularly your comprehensive planification, hausmannian at least), but the mhw were the first I noted, and to congratulate it was neccesary.

Now I'm honored to present you the final version of downtown Coos Bay!
Coos%20Bay%20V3_zpsajfypilo.jpg
And you may be interested in the skyline view from far away.

And here's function distribution map for this CBD

And here's a commercial plan about one building under construction

And this height map clearly indicates the height control effort adopted to this moderate height CBD.

I'd give special thanks to the great BATters in SC4 community, to name a few, Reddonquixote, scotty222, PBGV103, jasoncw, Darknono35, kellydale2003, DmScopio, darn42, girafe, on001222...
So far I'm quite satisfied with the result but I'll still hang around and make possible improvement for this CBD, so any suggestion is appreciated in whatever means.

Truly one of the few CBDs that I am really enthralled with in SC4.  The perfect intrinsic blend of so many subtle qualities.

I love to mix big buildings with green, especially trees. I think in real life that park in the center would look very weird, but I like to do that in game :P

timmie, you can see some of them if you look carefully, but there are not many indeed.
Borg, there's a river after the downtown, but I didn't put it in the picture because it's not ready yet :P
Thank you, guys :)

That's a really sharp looking downtown area! Like the low-rise action...

No custom buildings  also, I always concentrate my skyscrapers into a small condensed Downtown. It's more realistic and aesthetically pleasing.

no custom buildings huh I see 3 custom buildings I use in your screenshot 1st is tinhao3 , 2nd is the piramid style top building which is an old bat, and 3rd and last one is the bank of china tower v1 by pulvmontfort. Nice style feels like Taguig here in Manila

The pyramid shaped roof building you speak of seens to be an euro style skyscraper from rush hour, bank of america is a maxis landmark since SimCity 3000 and I have no clue what is the tinhao3 building you mentioned before. There were no custom buildings during the time of that screenshot my friend.

Prefeito is absolutely correct, there is not one custom building in these screenshots. That Bank of China tower is definitely the original Maxis landmark, not the one by paulvmontfort. Paul's version looks pretty different.
