Schulman Day Celebrations Continue!

Part 4 of Team Coverage of Today's Festivities

Fireworks are set off to help launch the second set of Schulmania trading cards

Everyone in Schulmania is excited about today's release of the new set of Schulmania souvenir trading cards. Set 2, the first expansion pack released since the Schulmanicus set, which debuted during the Trixie festival last year, has been eagerly anticipated by Schulminions of all ages. The cars, which have proven to be the hottest collectible in the realm, are often traded and bargained for. The Schulmanicus edition became the highest selling collectible in history. And, despite its near-ubiquity, its value has continued to rise. The new collection, the Atkinos District Expansion Pack, has been greeted with long lines at all distributors' shops. Some frenzied shoppers camped out in front of card dealers' shops overnight to be first in line for the official 8 AM release. Interviewed in line at a Smightower shop, eager shoppers April and June Fledder, winners of this year's Fine Arts Contest, squealed "We have like totally got to have these! These are like the coolest cards ever!" Their sentiments have been echoed across the realm as shoppers queue for the first must-have consumer good for the new year.

The publisher, Glenwood Press, released these publicity pictures in advance of today's early morning release.

Schulman Day Parade in Gran Maru

The parade ran down Via Balenarossa and ended at the Civic Palace

Performers came from across the district to showcase their skills

The crowd gathered for the grand finale at the end of Via Balenarossa

fledder200    I was excited to see that April and June got interviewed while shopping for Schulman Day cards. There was a rumor that later they were spotted dancing with the governor at Club Chocolat. Those two know how to party!

UltraGIR XL Thanks for noticing. I want to have more depth to Schulmania than just "here's more stuff I built". I want it to have character and to have places which have meaning and purpose. After all, what we build is driven by what we do. So, I let what they do influence where and what they build. It's a different approach for me. I used to try to cram as many people and as much stuff in as possible per tile. But, this is a new frontier for me. I like it this way- I can develop some no and go back and add layers to what I did earlier later. That's why I always leave some areas empty. Then, I get a complex city with history.

fledder200 T  hose two sure do get around! After seeing them tear through a few stores and trample a few grandmas to get to the sale racks, I shudder to think about what would happen if they hear about Hammer's After Schulman Day clearance sale!
