Schulmantor - I will sure be going back to Fox's Donut Den. Does this mean it will feature in future updates?

Why complain about me on your well manicured lawn, Schulmanator? I wear camo for a reason. I was practicing my stealth skills. And who were those, um, ladies I happened to have noticed while checking the clarity of your window panes for you?

Inspector Gadget and the Case of the Missing Donut

A Story Instigated by HamsterTK (on page 26)

    Elaborated Upon by The Schulmanator

    Ghost Written by Casper

    Here's the deal.

Schulmania is a haven for many creatures. One type which lives in the countryside is the meerkat. They usually live in their burrows and come in to town for special occasions, such as Schulman Day. There was a meerkat family who left their underground burrows to attend the big Schulman Day parade, and as usual, a snake got into the den just as soon as they left. Snakes seem to be impervious to the holiday spirit. When the family came back, they were dismayed to see a snake had taken up residence. He had unpacked his suitcases (which is hard to do with no arms) and was leaning back in the recliner reading their newspaper (it was propped up against the wall, as he has no arms to hold it up). The family was aghast! This simply would not do! How were they going to make dinner and look at their new packs of Schulman Day cards with an unwelcome tenant?

So, Molly Meerkat did what any Meerkat would do...set about to poke and prod and run the snake out! First, she tried the passive-aggressive approach - lots of sighing, paw-wringing, and plaintive stares. No luck. Then, she tried having her kids repeat loud, annoying sounds to make the snake want to leave. This continued for a while. Well, it became obvious the snake wasn't leaving till after dinner. So Molly went back to the celebrations that were still in full swing for Schulman Day and asked this guy to help. She hoped he would be a "paragon" of virtue...

But, he was tipsy, that was obvious, but she had her family waiting and asked the man if he would assist her by lending her one of the donuts up there on the tables in baskets. She promised that she would replace it just as soon as she got the snake out and could cook again. He stared and blinked, wobbly on his feet. As his vision came back into focus, he felt the call to action.

He reached for an entire basket and offered to cart it for her to the den, as she was obviously unable to handle the entire thing. She gratefully accepted the donut and thanked him as she headed back to her den. He teetered briefly and started mumbling to himself about talking meerkats. He staggered home, still not sure it all really happened.

So, that is the story, the REAL story of an honorable Meerkat who was simply defending her family. The donut was to appease the snake who said he would NOT leave till he had some dinner. So, Molly got him some dinner so he would leave. As to what happened to the rest of the basket of donuts, no one is for sure who got them... but one man, who was stranded for a long time before arriving at the parade, was seen hurriedly walking away from the scene with a large package in his arms, shrouded with a funky beach towel.

    Case closed??

    Perhaps!

    *applause*

lovely story, lovely story. there's a moral to be learned here...and that moral is...donut underestimate meerkats...their friends are drunk, and have donuts...

Umm...I think there's a better moral in there somewhere...

hamsterTK    Look what you made me do, Steve!

fledder200    OMG! That t shirt is like so-o-o-o cool! I am going to wear it to the food court at the shopping mall and troll for chicks. Maybe some named after months....

football_fever    That's because I did not have my new t shirt on yet. Now, they only stare at me!

Ccecill    Thanks! I hope the Holiday Hawk brought you lots of great presents!

HabLeUrG    Gracias! I hope you had a great Schulman Day too!

MrCinatit    Inspector Gadget will need to know your whereabouts for the time between 4-6 PM on Schulman Day. Be sure to arrange your alibi in advance!

Benedict    Thanks! And, you are right, A&J can be a bad influence. Just today, I was at the grocery store and saw ½ price candy. So I had to knock over an old lady and shove a few kids to get the last bag of Christmas gummi worms. It was worth it though. My happiness muffled the sounds of whimpering from the hapless souls in my way. Like some little 6 year old deserves *MY*gummies!

jj88    It just may! And of course it shall return every Schulman Day. But, when the need for sweet is great, the Donut Den will not be far away!

Hester    That would be April and June. They came over to drop of my new t shirt. It is like TO DIE FOR!

sc4portugal   Obrigado! That's even better than cool! And, BTW, your user name is not rubbish. It is very practical. I noticed as well your 200th post was on Schulman Day. What a way to celebrate!

    meerkatgr6.jpg

hamsterTK   Thanks for helping to get my story out! Mr. Slithers is a bad snake and he has a rap sheet as long as he is!

football_fever   That's right! You always want to stay on the meerkats' good side. And, kinda like a leprechaun, when you do something nice for us, we grant you a wish! So, the drunken stranger got his wish. Curious as to what it was? That'll cost ya!

KingTitan   Thanks again for the help with the donut. Your wish will be granted (as long as actual retail price does not exceed 3.99 schulmonetas.... We are on a budget here!)

Gridlock   Thanks! Glad you liked my story. If I get enough publicity, I may be able to spin this off into my own show!

fledder200   Fear not! I am working on my autobiography now... Meerkat Tales and Other Stories... due to be published just as soon as I resolve a contract dispute with my publisher, Mr. Slithers Books of Schulmania, LLC.

Jacqulina   I am pleased you like my story! I am hoping to become media sensation and thus become a regular fixture in Schulmania. There is that tabloid story about me coming out next week, but I swear it is not true! I was *NOT* front row at a Kevin Federline concert. I HAVE AN ALIBI! I HAVE AN ALIBI!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Giligone   Thank you! I try to be a role model to my family. And I welcome the merchandising opportunities which should come my way as a result of this fateful encounter. I envision all sorts of great ways to get schulmonetas out of this...

Jacqulina Indeed! A new terrain mod is on the way. I am also phasing in a new water mod. It will show up soon. Then, I need to go back and do a reprise of some places with the new stuff in.

RushHourFreak The home island will be back soon!

UltraGIR XL Getting? They've always been weird!

Malevlolka Thank you! And welcome to Schulmania!

Charles Rodulfo Long time, no see! I have been curious as to your whereabouts. I am glad you are back. I hope you enjoy what I have been up to as of late.

Giligone Yep, time to see what growth has happened back on Schulmanicus. The region population is up to over 60,000 now. Almost enough to support a Walmart Supercenter!

Fallon144 Thank you! A new update is underway as we speak (I mean, type). The 1,000 monkeys are at 1,000 keyboards... soon, they will turn out the greatest city ever Simmed!
