Great regional pic, man! So, you will name a place with a familiar name to me? Hehe! I like the idea!

This is the bestestest fictional history CJ ever, man!

patriots_1228  Thanks. I am glad you like the pix. I try to make it seem real. It's a good escape from everyday life. Now, when I want to tune something out, I just start thinking about what I will do next for Schulmania. Then I sit back with a box of Busscastle Chocolates and let the magic begin!

DanTso  Thanks for stopping by. This island is very hilly. They developed terracing to use more of the land. Some parts, like Atkinos and Gran Maru, are much flatter. I guess growing up in the mountains makes me like the hills a lot.

UltraGIR XL  Hmmm, I do need a French city at some point, don't I?

seemurray2   Hmmm, I have never been to the Caymans. Dominican Republic, but not the CI. I hear that they are great islands, so that's gratifying to read! Thanks!

City2TheMax  Thanks for coming by. The Schulminions have modernized a great bit over the first 20+ pages. Not to the modern era yet. I want some period places before I rush into the concrete and glass era. But.... [insert sneak peek here] a new style of city... [or two] is coming soon!

Natuurzoon   Thanks! I try to have the buildings harmonize as best I can. The next city update after this one took forever because a few recalcitrant buildings kept coming back after I bulldozed them. Wrong building in wrong spot. One, I killed 119 times before the right thing came up. Now, THAT'S what I call persistence!

RushHourFreak   Thanks! I like the seaside thing as well.

fledder200   Thanks! It has been a LONG time since I had a region map update. Only my third one in 29 pages. Those guys need to start discovering more!

Emilin   Me too! But, as it said in the last Atkinos District updates, the discoverers are heading east. Expect to see another region map update before too too long!

Jacqulina   Thank you for coming by. You are welcome to come by Temple Terrace anytime!

Narya   Thank you, Queen Narya. You are welcome anytime. And, good news for you! Dragons have been found visiting local school children in Schulmania, as you can see from the file footage below:

    300pxdragontales0bi.jpg

football_fever    Well, it's not really barren. It is actually fairly lush. But, it is not highly developed. The towns are small, as they are quite ancient. Then, laws were passed about growth, due to pressure on resources. That's what has spawned the migration outward to the colonies. Temple Terrace is the first new home island city in generations.

waway625   The Greek and Roman buildings are all on the STEX. Just do a keyword search for Greek and for Roman. As for the map, the remaining areas are undiscovered. So, we don't get to see it either, until it has been discovered. The ships are heading east, so we should see something soon in that direction.

Darmok   Bambi is a multi-talented deer... Disney did not fully flesh out her character. She also snowboards in Colorado and one summer she backpacked across Europe to sample McDonald's in every country. Interestingly enough, she found a Big Mac is pretty much a Big Mac anywhere you go!

Benedict   Thanks! The next update will have the 2nd and third terraces. I hope you like them as much!

Fallon144   Thanks. I am glad you like what I have in this update. It does sort of have that Southern Mediterranean look, which is what I was aiming for. It's sort of borderline for Schulmanicus. The areas south of it are warmer. But, it keeps the period feel.

Hester   Thanks! I hope many more nice ones to come!

Bat   Thanks! I am glad you liked the update and region map.

connor_v   Thanks. The terracing was, I think, best in the more rustic looking stone than the retaining walls usually used in CJs. They are too modern looking. One day, when they are more modern, I can use those. For now, this is the official retaining wall of Schulmania!

tbone04044   Thanks! And, you are right. This one took quite a while to get right!

    jj88   Thanks!

Asturianu   Thanks for stopping by again. I am glad you like the pix and other junk that goes along with it. You will have a place soon. But, it will need to be farther south than Schulmanicus, so it can have the Spanish-Mediterranean feel to it. Fear not! It is under development. And it features a Schulminion innovation which will be used again across the land once started in this new town.

sc4portugal   Obrigado! Glad you like it.

that's a good explanation of my it's not as developed. And I did mean undeveloped, and not barren...nobody that's a fan of jacky's would have any barren spots on the map. Even the desert would have vegitation and such

    Schulmanicus: King of the Hill

So far, we have explored the residential, commercial, and civic areas of Temple Terrace. We have yet to explore the monastery, located at the top of the hill. The monastery serves as housing for seminary students as well as for clergy working in the temples of the Sacred Precinct. Perched on the highest terrace of the town, the monastery commands a fabulous view of the town below and of the open water.

    monastery35ah.jpg

The monastery has a great view, but its steep hilltop location does make transit to and from town a bit of a strain. The clergy all have excellent leg muscles from all of the hill climbing.

    monastery23ng.jpg

    monasterygrounds6gh.jpg

The grounds include lush forest and plenty of resident wildlife.

    monastery2to.jpg

    monasterygrounds26mc.jpg

The town is a short, steep walk away.

The views are impressive. No doubt, the site was selected for its inspirational value.

I enjoyed those views around the Monastery. I like those type of buildings. I really like its location in the top of the hill, very scenic. Excellent pictures my friend. Keep on going.

KingTitan Thanks! I am glad you like the idea. I try to keep it as old looking and vehicle free as possible.

fledder200 Not sure what llama sounds are. This one's sound is "Do you know a good orthodontist?"

    zelgadis Thanks!

football_fever Glad you like the update. I'll take a margarita.... oil barrel size!

RushHourFreak Thank you! I agree, the monastery has an excellent location.

MayorTim Actually, I thought of that after I posted it. I should have thrown in a few references to the show!

PS: My son loves your avatar!

Hester Sure! Good for what ails ya!

Beautiful area, obviously your country is transitioning into a 17th century time period. I may be wrong though. Looks very nice, great update!

You're doing quite well with this CJ, Schulmanator.

Obviously, it's difficult to walk up that hill, but aren't monks supposed to be uncomfortable after all (it must be like, a rule written somewhere)...

    Oh well. It's a win/win situation. 3.gif

Great work on this monastery Shul!

And as for the wildlife I guess they have to (**warning warning** bad joke ahead!) bear with the llamas!

I just wouldn't be the one who'll have to mow the lawn on the edge of the cliff!! 2.gif

You manage to keep an out of this world ambiance in Schulmania and like that!

    Take care

    Heya Schulmanator!

    1stly congrats on your trixie!

And I really like the way your cities have the roman look *grin* just what I envision Dominea to be like a couple of thousand years ago!

BTW, where did u get the aqueduct? Can you lead me to it... I am a fellow admirer of Roman architecture... and thus this CJ 4.gif
