Shadow_Assassin    I hope not. But, if he does, I will fake a limp and show up in court with a neck brace and get me some cold hard schulmonetas!

Emilin    Very nice! The Supreme Wirdle may have to award more than one bucket o' schulmonetas!

Archangel9    Wow! A chocolate-inspired détente! That should make a good advertising campaign. Too bad about the war. I wonder how the war will be referenced in history books: The Chocolate War? The Battle for Busscastles? The Savory Siege? Can't wait to get the new textbooks to see!

GMT    Thanks! Glad you like the world class art! I think the next thing the Schulminions will need is an art museum!

Fallon144    The Supreme Wirdle would not have it any other way!

    motivationwirdleuc9.jpg

Hester    I know! The Supreme Wirdle will have a tough choice.

fledder200    Party tips? You need to buy the issue for that! Only 35 purrs- what a bargain!

Jacqulina    I am sure you made Ambassador Fox's list this year!

RushHourFreak    It is the bargain price of 35 purrs per issue or 3.25 schulmonetas for the year (12 issues). There is always the big Schulman Day holiday issue, the Wirdle Day bonus issue and of course the swimsuit issue! Well worth the investment!

football_fever    Schulman Day is one of the biggest events of the year. After all, celebrating the birth of your country's founder should be a big party! It is sort of the Mardi Gras of Schulmania!

fledder200 & June & April    Like, hey girls! I am like SO STOKED that you like the magazine. I mean, like it's the coolest magazine ev-err! And, the Schul-babe is such a total fox! And you have like the coolest cats ev-err! The pix are like totally wicked!

Hester    I think we have definitely seen some great output from our fellow Simtroplitans.

Hester    Yep, Belle has a list of unsavory persons who will receive a carcass on their porch - dropped with a big thunk - for their unpleasantries committed over the past year. Buy the latest issue and see who the bad guys are!

    REMINDERS TO ALL:

    1. You can still submit cat pictures for the fine arts contest. Rumor has it the prize this year will be a bucket o' schulmonetas from the Supreme Wirdle's treasury!

    2. You can continue to order chocolates from the catalog until the 13th. The Schulman Day catalog expires at midnight on the 13th. Then, Ambassador Robert Fox takes over to distribute donuts to all worthy souls.

Ambassador Robert Fox is a character from the original Star Trek who visits planet Emeniar VII. I decided to name the fox after him. And the fox was invented because it is Fox’s Donut Den, after all!

The following are all references to Star Trek and ST member Darmok: The Jilad and the Tanagra families brought the style of farmhouse from that village here and built small family farms. Schulman Day
Fox’s Donut Den, located at the intersection of Abbott Martin Rd & Hillsboro Road in Green Hills, Nashville, Tennessee is the focus of earthly delights. The donuts are so good that they make all others taste like rat poison. You would spit them on the floor and stomp on them! I have a solemn pledge: if you don’t think your Donut Den product is so good it should be crystallized and sold, I will eat the remained of your order, even if it is stale and roach encrusted. Trust me… some things are so good you day dream – these are so good you have an out of body experience!
    fxzddvl0.jpg

    Chapter 6: Why It’s There

    Schulmanicus: Prehistoric Prying
Anachronismator: I needed a way to explain the little anachronisms which would show up as towns developed, since there’s not an ancient tile set.
Schulmanicus: Exploring a Brave New World

The Basilica of Felis Catus was designed by S. P. Arrow, who was indeed an unfortunate victim of the Supreme Wirdle. It is his memorial.
    Schulmanicus: In My Ivory Tower

Glow in the dark stickers in the gift shop would be an extremely oblique reference to a line in the Curious George movie, which we rented and the Jr. Schulmanator repeated over and over and over and over and over as I was doing this chapter.
Atkinos: The World Is Bigger Than We Thought

The “First Fleet” is a tip o’ the hat to Australia, from whom I stole… err, borrowed, the phrase.
    Atkinos: Home Field Advantage

Farmer Pete – my mother loves that line about old times there are not forgotten (from the song "Dixie") – makes her laugh every time she sees it. Of course, so does the joke “How do skeletons communicate?...... By tele-bone!”
    Atkinos: Home Field Advantage

Fruit salad- yummy yummy! Anyone else watch The Wiggles?
    wigglesnapkinsqy8.jpg

(continued, again... for some reason, it chops this off so I have had to break it up...)

    Atkinos: The Isle of Smiles

Those photos of the Contemplation Garden are my photos of the Alamo, taken by The Schulmanator, himself! They were taken while I was in Texas visiting the intrepid Dr. Klingman and family.

Hey! When does that movie arrives to South America???, I'm eager to watch it. These productions have to be very well produced, if the ciritics give it 5 1/2 stars. I hope I don't get disappointed. I'm sure it'll be good.

I'm certain this movie will be a smashin' success... But I also suspect it could be Christian propaganda, considering it's filmed by Ned and Maude Flanders. 3.gif

I like an insight into the inner workings of Schulmania, and it's certainly very enjoyable.

Atkinos: Babalonia - A Monumental Undertaking

Thus far, we have explored the Atkinos District's multiple settlements: Gran Maru, Atkiniros and Atkinos, and Schulmania. An important geography note: it is believed that Schulmania is a large island. The northern coast of it has been explored but not the rest. It is believed to be about 4 times as large as Schulmanicus. The farms located in Schulmania are not an actual town with that name, just farms on Schulmania. Schulmania is more or less exclusively agricultural, with just a bit of commercial near the ferry port. There is only one cultural amenity, and that is not even near the farms. To the east, in a remote and secluded spot accessible only by boat, is a huge monument to religion in Schulmania.

This spot was chosen to serve as a sanctuary. A large shrine was built on the spot. It was surrounded by a paved stone walkway. The style for the shrine was chosen to be a fusion of Temple and Island styles. The resulting Island Temple structure is a huge stepped pyramid, quite unique in the realm and the largest structure ever created up to that point in history. The site was an immediate success. Schulminions flocked to worship and meditate. There was one little problem: there were no support facilities for the pilgrims. The consulting firm of Dogbert & Associates gladly undertook an expensive study to find a solution. Their report suggested hotels, shops, restaurants, and other amenities so pilgrims could come stay for a while without bringing all provisions and shelter with them. The leadership team of the new shrine voted 7-3 to accept the proposal. Those in favor were Hyman and Hoishel Krustovsky and Helen Lovejoy. Also in favor were Gil Gamesh, N. Kidu, A. K. Kadians and Zig Urat. Opposed were Ihat, Korgano amd Masaka.

With the plans made and approval process completed, the massive undertaking began. The engineering subcontractors, Scott & La Forge, Ltd., developed the infrastructure in tandem with the lead architect, Professor John Frink. Without further ado, I will introduce the landmark they created the same way it was done on the dedication day many years ago: "Behold - the glory of Babalonia!"

    babaloniaworshipcenterks1.jpg

Babalonia, the worship center of the south, the largest project ever constructed in Schulmania up to now.

    babawc2ov4.jpg

A closer view of the worship center reveals many chambers for religious services, meditations, bingo games and cake walks.

    bbwc3ml6.jpg

This view provides another angle of the structure.

To arrive at this worship center, pilgrims would arrive at the port. The decision was made to have an old fashioned port instead of a ferry. This was primarily because the ferries ran routes several times each day and the desire was for Babalonia's boats to arrive once in the morning and depart once in the afternoon.

    babaloniaportso3.jpg

Support staff and sailing crews had quarters near the port provided by the worship center.

Many pilgrims would make their way to the Pilgrims' Progress Hotel, just up the street from the port, to check in. About one third of the visitors were day trippers and the balance stayed overnight in the hotel.

    pilgrimsprogresshotelag3.jpg

The large hotel, shown to the right, offered accommodations for hundreds of pilgrims. The shops across the street provided food and souvenirs and other necessities.

    babaloniagoldendomesqg8.jpg

Two golden domed buildings marked the approach to the worship center itself. The one facing in this photo is the housing complex for the worship leaders. They had a very short commute to work, didn't they?

    babaloniagoldendomes2eh1.jpg

The golden domed building facing in this picture is the first seminary in Schulmania, the Credo Institute.

This concludes our tour of the Atkinos District. Governor Cawale thanks you for your interest in her region and hopes you will come visit the many fine islands and communities in Atkinos.

We have seen all there is to see of the know world at this point. Is there anything else? We'll see. Captains Brian Driver and Splunt are gathering a massive fleet to explore to the east. Who knows what wonders they may behold in exploring the endless World Ocean. Is there land out there? Only time will tell...

When somebody mentions Babilonia, Babolina or whatever related, the hanging Gardens come to my mind. And that was exactly what happened when I saw your update. "Ohh, Great" I told myself. It's great to see the Peg, recreation and in top of that, in this fabulous update of a very interesting CJ. Now those plazas are challenging!! I would suggest you to level them out a little bit.

    Thanks for sharing those masterpieces.
