Hey yeah, that 2 IFC should be revived! I had forgotten that there was a new version in the works. The latest residential project looks great, too. 4.gif

I hope y'all won't mind me interrupting here for a minute to show some pictures of the lot I made for ICC, so you can get a closer look. It looks like this viewed from the front at zoom 5 (the flora is randomised, of course):

Should you not like how the footpaths on top of the base, right over the garage entrance, simply end in thin air, there's a solution which I tried to demonstrate with the following picture. Simply terraform a bit and ignore the TE feature, and you'll get something like this (it can obviously done much smoother, with NAM Ped Malls and whatever floats your boat):

Finally, here's a look at the back:

It's a really simple-looking lot, but I tried to make it both as natural-looking and unobtrusive and as versatile as possible.

Ok, enough boring waffle - *hands thread back to Paul*

Wow towerdude, very impressive. Now if somebody will bat The Waterfront, W Hotel and Cullinam (imho most easy to bat), entire Union Square (or we in HK mostly referred to as West Kowloon) will be completed!

I also like to know. There are just far too many mega residentials in HK.

Can't tell them all apart without working in local real estate. 46.gif

That Residental is surely a step in the right direction (don't take this too personally though)... I'm so in need of a couple of "small" (3 x 2-6 footprint), modern, glass-y, highrise residentals!

I decided to take a look at this one again and started remoddeling the base. There's just one problem though.. The massive roof! It looks so bare and I don't know what to do with it..

I expect most of them to be building materials 2.gif but my main problem is what roof texture to use to prevent major tiling. I'm not very good at photoshop and i haven't found a big enough texture yet2.gif I think i'm going to try to make custom textures with photoshop anyway, this way I can make it conform the angles of the roof's edges

@ bixel, Let me share some secrets on this3.gif. The round entrance was made almost entirely out of tube objects. I manipulated them with an edit poly modifier, extruding, insetting and beveling the faces. The round parking garage thing at the back was also done with tube elements and for the road I used a spring element. I also used a spring to boolean out the holes in it.

How did you make those curved windows?! I always wanted to know how to make one because when I try to, I fail. 15.gif

You can also turn on slice to get sections of tubes like that. I know there are a lot of people who are intimidated by things like splines and booleans, but while they can make modeling things much simpler, 99% of the time you can use standard polys to make anything.

@ Evillions: Just read my previous post, I explained it there2.gif

@ PBGV103: I am aware of the slice option and I indeed used it here2.gif

@ Amthaak: I'll keep it in mind, although the modelling part isn't nearly finished yet at all

Did some more work on it including texturing the main towers:
